My mother was a Gianni Versace model late 80s and early 90s and then later designer for Gianni. It broke her heart and this was the song/ hym she constantly listened to. I love this song but my family and i know we will cry with memories in our minds. Gianni made the supermodel era and he created fashion. RIP ALL LOVE

I enjoy your comment. However, I find myself confused. What broke her heart specifically?

Have you listened to John Rutter's version of Psalm 23? Very different to this one but also very lovely, especially his setting of the last line "And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever"

RoninofRamen d'oh! My senior moment. He sounds nothing like a tenor. Thanks for correction. Funny, I used to sing baritone. No idea how I wrote tenor!

I trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 45 years. Heavenly Father has revealed to me that Jesus Christ has restored the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a latter-day prophet as Luke relates in Acts 3:19-26.

Aren´t people capable of just enjoying the music, the chorus, the interpreter and the art? Why do they have to talk about God, religion, Lucifer, and hell all the time? God, beauty, and art are universal.

One genuinely wonders at the sanity of many members of humanity. Good grief.
@caroldouglass52205 жыл бұрын
Bryn Terfel, so gifted. Music, sublime. No need to attribute the supernatural to it. So, if by wondering about sanity you mean the irrational belief in the supernatural--not to mention the bloody insistence that everyone else believe precisely the same in every detail--I agree with you wholeheartedly. The world, the universe, is sufficiently marvelous (and frightening and strange) without attributing it to some invented spirits (note: those change every century or millennium and are all equally insisted upon). And please also note: honesty, kindness, ethics, empathy--all present in rational people; not the sole province of the "religious." Music is everyone's.

It's a pity not to mention the composer of this lovely setting of Psalm 23: Howard Goodall.

It is at the very beginning of the video from 0:00 - 0:05 on the left hand side, they give the title and composer. I am sure they would have done so vocally as well but the clip most likely did not include that. I hope that helps

@@Kaspleen thanks I hadn't noticed it there but it could also be in the blurb underneath.

@@davidstedeford387 That is true as it is a lovely version. Howard Goodall has also done a series called Story of Music, which I believe can be found on youtube

Shame about the soloist. Choir great, soloist dreadful for this piece. Whoever chose this combination should hang their head in shame.
