One of my first hymns as a wee boy in Sunday school Glasgow. I'm in my late 50s now...this hymn still means so much.

It's a wonderful psalm - and a great truth to be able to sing. Thanks for your message :-)

This remains one of the best recordings of this beautiful Psalm. The voice is exquisite and tenders the perfect mood of deep inner contemplation this timeless piece of wisdom commands.

Wow, thank you! Steph MacLeod is the singer, and we love his voice. It was recorded in one take with him singing and playing the guitar together.

Lost a Good friend today. I searched so much for this tune, which is what we've grown up with. I dedicate this beautiful hymn to my friend. Rest in Peace Dear Brother. Till we meet again.

This is the only sung version of Psalm 23 that I could find that didn't leave out some of the verses.

Yes, it's timeless isn't it? Amazing to think it was written 3000 years ago.

These are the lyrics I recall from Church in Scotland as a child, thank you for bringing this to us. My favourite psalm, love, peace and rest. I’d also like to add that “in God’s house” means to me to be surrounded by His presence, His love, by loving and leading from our hearts we connect into that wherever and whatever we are doing (rather than his house being a Church building).

As other commenters have said, it took quite a bit of searching to find this gem, the version I remember from school assembly and early church years. This one has a special place in my heart and I prefer it to the more modern tune. Thanks for this.

One of the best musical settings to these great words for the Great Psalm. So used to hearing this with Chapel Organ. This folk setting which seems as Scottish is so beautiful its done it justice. Well done.

@@NewScottishHymns Classical Musician here.. and there are so many Musical Settings of this Hymn. I usually prefer Choral settings for this Tune, but aside from those - THIS arrangement is one I continually come back to... something so refreshing about the piano, accordion and your voice--- in fact- hope you won't mind... We used this clip at my Mom's Funeral.
