I was reading Psalm 39 today and came across your teachings on this Psalm. I really loved how you broke down the verses it helped me to see clearly. Thank you.

Me too! I am reading through the Psalms each morning to start my day. I often seek out this KZbin channel when I need further clarification or am wanting a commentary on it. I only wish that when Mr. Guzik would put the scriptures up that he would also put the Bible translation he's reading out of in parenthesis. I read out of the ESV primarily for studying, but if I knew what translation he's reading out of I could follow along in that translation, too.

I really need help understanding who the wicked are in this verse? My adult son claims to be a Christian but he is very disrespectful and says mean things. I would really step on a counselor's toes if I referred to him as wicked? Whom are the wicked? I do most certainly need to not engage with him and pray this verse for facing my day sometimes...I used the word evil to describe a rock star and their behavior and my daughter-in-law set me straight on that...She is a guidance counselor..

Wasnt much of David's griefs a natural outflow of son's and Israelis' disrespect for him (and so his God) because of Bathsheba and her husband!. Our repented relationship with GOD, (if we trust in Him) after gross sin is repaired BUT people cannot forget. It isnt godly but is how it is with people's ability to have unloving thoughts ... saved or not.
