Yes, those who will be led astray will be those sitting in pews, stadiums and conferences listening to the words of men, taking Scriptures out of context, instead of reading and, through wonderful channels like this, listening to God's Word. People always like to pull out the phrase from Psalm 107 -- and he sent his word and healed them ..." so that folks will believe for healing. But, boy, when you hear Psalm 107 in its entirety over and over again -- and I just have fallen in love with that Psalm -- you come to realize how great God is, what his intentions are towards his children. You really understand why Paul said: " My faith does not lie in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." This is what I think people are missing as they cry about not having enough faith -- or being told they don't. It's not our faith, but faith in the power and love and goodness of God. Then I am also reminded that the man who said "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief," Jesus did not tell that man okay, I'll wait until you have no unbelief before I will do anything for you. . The other thing that the Psalms, first and foremost, have taught me is how silly faith confessions are and "I am" phrases, or the idea of positive thinking and that crying and tears is a sign of unbelief. David cried out to God, Hannah cried out to God in pain, as did Jabez, as did Moses, Abraham -- and so on. Asking God for what is needed is just that, and not asking just once, but continuously. A child of God, seeking God, is never going to ask wrongly. They're never going to ask for wealth for the wrong reasons or with selfish motives. I really urge people to read George Muller's autobiography. When money, or anything else, was needed he didn't spout positive affirmations or confessions or "I am" phrases. He asked for everything that was needed, with thanksgiving, and often six times a day, when the need was greatest. In fact, often with it came to money needs, even as he received that day, he thanked God and immediately asked for more to fill needs. His autobiography is one of the greatest testimonies on a relationship with God in the 19th century, and the only book he ever wrote. Another thing is this, and it comes mainly from WOF wolves: They will teach you that if you keep asking God for what you need over and over again it is a sign of unbelief. What I get over and over again from listening to the Psalms is that just crying out to God is an act of faith. God wants us to be dependent on Him for everything -- to lead us, to guide us, to provide for us, to protect us.

@@Samalabear Amen! Trust in God is ironically what is lacking in many Christians. I had to be humbled to see where my trust was, and thank God for the correction to learn to walk in complete dependance on Him. Psalms like this one are food for me to stand in faith. I have read George Muller's autobiography and it was an eye opener. It should not be challenging to read an account like that, but it was very much so to me. I like to plan and be in control of things, but that's not worth it if God is not the one directing me. The spirit of "self-sufficiency" is what had to die in me and I am thankful to know what that's like to give all control to God and have peace and joy, regardless of how my "enemy" circumstances look. My Father is my deliverer who loves me and is faithful and all-powerful.
