Psalm 46 Chant

This chant version of Psalm 46 was recorded during a chant training during our 2019-2020 Junior Fellows Program. This time of singing was led by Paul Buckley and was recorded by pastor Kyle Lammott.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear Though the earth gives way, Though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains tremble at its swelling. The lord of hosts is with us. The god of Jacob is our stronghold. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of god, The holy habitation of the most high. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her when morning dawns. The nations rage the kingdoms totter; He utters his voice and the earth shall melt away. The lord of hosts is with us; The god of Jacob is our stronghold Come behold the works of the lord, What desolation he has wrought on earth. He makes wars to cease in all the world; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear and burns the chariots with fire. “Be still and know that I am god. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The lord of hosts is with us; The god of Jacob is our stronghold. Glory to the father and to the son And to the holy spirit; Both now and ever, And unto the ages of ages, amen.

Please provide more information on the inspiration for the style of this chant. I find it to be a very good blend of Lutheran chant and something like the 1650 psalter

So when Jesus said in Matt 21:21 “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. "THAT MOUNTAIN" being Israel the holy mountain that rejected Christ, do you suppose the jews chanted this psalm back at Him?
