Psalm 64 - Secret Plots and Sudden Shots

As with many of David’s psalms, Psalm 64 concerns a crisis that made him cry out to God.
It is impossible to connect this psalm to a specific event in David’s life with certainty.

Thanks for this. I have been slandered by faceless individuals at work and have yet to see their evil words (arrows) return on their own heads. The evil hurt and damage of slander is truly murderous. Words that can ruin your life, your livelihood, your health your relationships should be repaid by God! He is a God of justice. Thank you So much for this lesson. I’m praying Psalms 64 tonight. No coincidence I came across it tonight as I was contemplating the fact that Jesus exactly knew & experienced lies, plots, & betrayal in relation to my “anonymous “ plotters. I prayed just today for God’s ‘defense’ in that regard. I know without a doubt, this video is confirming of soon to be answered prayers & arrows. 🙏

Your post is especially relevant to me today. I just learned my beloved grandson David has tested positive for covid 19 . He is 15 years old. He told us that he has accepted Jesus as his saviour. Going through a very fiery trial right now and God had used Psalm 64 already. Was brought back to it tonight and looked up your commentary which was so helpful. I saw the embedded video and just wanted to tell you thank you. We are dealing with someone hurling false accusations and twisting the Word, like a spiritual narcissist I guess you would say. All has been so painful and I really failed and let terror overtake me. Psalm 64:1 lovingly corrected me! I will be glad in the Lord and trust in Him vs 10! God bless your work!
