Size-defying power
The Imagine X1T Tower is a dual-woofer transitional two-and-a-half way speaker with identical 5¼” (133mm) woofers that work together at the lowest frequencies but crossover at different frequencies to integrate better with room acoustics and give the best dispersion and power response. Imagine X models are all carefully matched in timbre, giving you the freedom to combine any of the models to work together in a variety of different rooms and system setups.
Dynamic accuracy
Like all woofers in the Imagine range, the cone materials have been carefully engineered for optimal control, allowing for a simpler, more cost effective crossover design. Tonal, spatial and dynamic accuracy are at the forefront of this speakers design which includes the Imagine one-inch titanium dome tweeter. The X1T fills the room with a refined mix of high and low frequencies that blend beautifully together.

I had them hooked up to the bad 316 bee integrated amp and the sound quality in my opinion was not that great. Especially in the bass. But hooked up to my Rotel separates they sounded great almost sounded identical to the Bower and Wilkins 685 s2 bookshelf speakers. And they are a smooth speaker.

PSB speakers can give the listener a real taste of the high end at a reasonable price.According to a post on a UK audiophile website,PSB speakers can really sound good when biamped,If you got a pair of amps,go for it.

I own these speakers. I got them for 500.00when the dealer was going out of business. They never really received the recognition like the x2 t tower's and received poor reviews by audiophiles and cnet. They are very amplifier picky and I was wondering if they are compatible with the new Rotel integrated amplifier that you reviewed.

Hi Bradley. I have not found them picky with amps. They are a big speaker, so small amps will not be a good pairing - but anything with a little current will be fine. So, yes, the new Rotels will be good - but consider the A12, not the smaller A11.

This is a update. I bought a used Adcom amplifier gfa 535 for around 250.00. Made in 1987. And it's hooked up to the PSB xt1 speakers. Great power. Very similar to my Rotel power amp.
