PSE XF 30 vs PSE OMEN - BOW BATTLE - CHRONOGRAPH SPEED TEST

PSE's 2022 XF 30 and 2022 Omen are BOTH PHENOMENAL BOWS ... and they're also both going to be excellent for hunting with this season.
You can probably already guess which one WON the speed test... the question is.... BY HOW MUCH?!

Set up a 50 lb max custom ordered omen. 51 lbs, 30.5" draw. 435 grains at 292 515 grains at 265 605 grains at 242. And at 50 lbs, it's silky smooth to draw at any angle. The perfect hunting setup!

With that long of a DL you can definitely afford to drop that weight way down!

Which lighted nock did u have on the arrow? I was wondering about the grip on the Omen & the newer PSE bows. I had an Evolve that had a great draw cycle but the grip was suited more for a high wrist grip. I am double jointed in my elbows which is inherited. Natural to me means a locked elbow with a low wrist grip. I could almost hit my string on my bicep with my arm extended. I still have a 30" draw & with the locked elbow & grip on my Prime bow I get great repeatability & a solid anchor point with my thumb release. I've heard that the grip on the Levitate is different & I was wondering if the Omen was similar to that grip?

it's just a generic brand of lighted nocks that I've used for several years... they work so well... I've just kept shooting them.... lighted nocks are not worth what the big names charge for them! As for the grip... I don't really know to be honest. I've never handled or shot the Levitate. I like the simple narrow grip on the Riser of these new PSE bows... works well for me and I always shoot with a fairly low wrist grip.

@@TapArchery Yeah, that sounds like the Levitate style grip. My Evolve was from 2018. Just had 2 many outlier arrows going to the left or right. Those same high FOC arrows do not have that problem with the Prime bows. Repeatability & consistency is the key. Thanks.

I'm doing 305 with mathews v3x33 at 27 draw length at 70lb. Took monkey tails off and 385 grain arrow

What poundage did each of these bows pull out of the box with the limb bolts cranked all of the way down? Thanks.

Don't recall exactly.... but I do know that each was UNDER listed max poundage...had to do some cable tuning on each to bring poundage up and also time cams.

I believe that each bow was around 66-67# out of the box

@@TapArchery appreciate it, seems common for PSE's to come in light compared to most of the industry usually coming in a little hot. I'm not apposed to twisting up cables, was just curious. Thanks!

I miss shooting a 440 grain arrow out of a 66 lb VXR 28 ,& getting 287 ft per second. I'm shooting 27 and a half inch draw 85% let off. I wish these bow companies will quit lying about their IBO!! The only bow ever made that shot true IBO was the bear Carnage. My buddy had one and with a 350 grain arrow it shot true IBO with fletching!

This Omen is hitting the IBO it's claimed to coming in by my calcuations at about 356 fps IBO! 305 fps with a 425 grain arrow at 27.5" .... yeah that's very fast.... but speed ASIDE this bow is TARGET bow accurate and stable beyond anything I've shot in recent memory.

They not lying ! Shoot the same grain arrow unfletched they ibo with! They don’t ibo with 450 grain arrows

The only thing Matthews has close to that speed is the Monster and still about 10FPS slower. VXR 28 IS MOST DEFINANTLY NOT faster.
