The Nothin' on you song by b.o.b and bruno mars (9:20) cover is what began his solo career after his time with 2pm and jyp entertainment ended and he'd moved back to The US.... Long story short: Jay covered this on his KZbin channel with his on added verse and it got over 2 million views in under 24 hours, b.o.b had even released a version without bruno mars but with Jay on it, jay also released his own version in korean and english, and that somewhat was how he made his return to korea as a solo artist.

Jay Park is such a talent and not just in music but also in business he's was even a cast member on Saturday Night Live Korea for season as well as judge on Asia's Got Talent for a few seasons he was also the host on his own talk/entertainment show last yr, he has written 450 songs & counting, his inspirations are MJ, Usher, JayZ, Tupac, he loves, as u can tell, 90's & early 2000's hiphop & R&B
