A good tip my friend, use should remove every key cap one by one and clean underneath the keys, that part of the fan intake, since i did this, the macbook has better cooling this way, i just replace all the key caps on my 2011 macbook pro 13 inch, so they are nice and have that new keyboard feeling i like
@carcaviar93214 жыл бұрын
Is it difficult to open up all those key caps or not? haven't cleaned further than the top of it when opening the underside. And I have the same MBP.
@bramvandenbroeck50604 жыл бұрын
@@carcaviar9321 Most of them clip on from the top, the best way of doing this is to use a small flat head screw driver, and go under the key cap, making sure that the tip of the screw driver is above the scissor switch, and than with a light twist, it should just pop off, for the "main part" of the keyboard you can pop em off from the side, but for the function key row and the arrows its best to get the screw driver on the bottom of the keycaps, you can slightly lift those keycaps to see how the scissor switch is mounted, but once you get the hang of it its easy to pop em off, i did this a couple of times, i even made some crazy patterns on a macbook keyboard using black and white keys :p

I have a refurbished MacBook Air that simply shut down one day after a few months of using it. Took it to the repair shop and they told me it was bust and there were signs of humidity/water inside. For screens you can mix water with dishwasher solution, this is what professionals uses for windows, obviously be careful how much water you apply to electronics so it doesn't go where it shouldn't.
Looks great, as always man. However, I don't think you need to run the fans at 5000+ rpm. What I do with my old MBP, is have the fans run off the CPU Diode sensor. Setting the minimum temperature between 25-30C should get the fans to spin around 3000 rpm at idle and they will go up adequately on their own from there. If you run the fans that fast, you're just gonna wear them out and have to replace them.

You should buy a licence to iStat menus. Its a great tool to monitor system usage, sensors (temps and clock speeds), battery life, and it brings back the remaining time till battery is dead or charged.

The battery may actually have far fewer cycles but sometimes macOS reads the number of cycles the original battery has before replacement. I’ve ran into this kind of problem a couple of times where a brand new battery would read the same nr of cycles as the one it replaces.
