Just to clarify that you CAN NOT uptslot using "Transfer Augment(s)". You can just transfer to a higher slot unit/weapon filling with a capsule the extra slot, but you still need to upslot your base unit/weapon.

Not a popular opinion, but I really like the way affixing works in PSO2. Unlike other MMOs where most of them rely on random stats upon drop, you can really cater to the build you want. Also has this small risk vs reward thing going on, have already made 80% of my fodder for an 8s guardian soul

I can't find people on ship 3 to farm extreme quests on ship 3, so I've been soloing risk exploration for crack. Vet's resolve I might have to buy off market if it isn't too much (yeah, right) Ever since affix week (AKA DUDU appreciation week), I've been fiddling with both affix simulators and they're a real headache first time. I'm just trying to affix so I can leave Floor Gang.

ah yeah the jumping ones... especially crass weapon as examples (though not recommended)... can have 5 SSA, so you can affix to 5slot (from any < 5 slot), fill it with SSA, so the next 3slot you can try gamble up-slot it to 8s (worst case it will only drop to 5s, SSA will always 100% affixing ), then you can just use 2s donor + capsule or 3s donor (for augment transfer). since unit can only carry 1 SSA, only can jump 2 slot up.( un-fill slot on augment transfer will result on same/down slot on the final product base slot)

AA55 and AA60 are usually in the SG support scratch (bonus rewards), and since Global skipped those, they'll probably appear in future support scratch as bonus rewards, just like the mark/divine/exceed receptors. And we're still missing Mark capsules Alternatively, going with EP4/EX souls, or heck, replacing Guardian with Astral, should be more than enough for the casual player.

I'm not a casual player, I have played pso2 since it got released on PC via microsoft crapStore but I'm not sure if I can be categorized as a try hard because I don't aim for min-maxing, and what i have learned all this time it's: you only need to grind only for certain items and do just ok affixes which fit your play style, if you are a good player (not even exceptional) you can do almost everything in this game (i defeated Phaleg before we got the level cap of ep5, beated PD UH solo, have done all divided quests, etc). So I don't think I'm going to do a guardian soul, at least for the moment. Who knows? Maybe in the future we will get more capsules so it can become even more accessible for most of us.

Dang... I still have to farm a lot to get Guardian Soul or those augments if I want to maximize my gear (at the moment would be units since I mostly play Summoner... but for weapons maybe I'll keep a Gunblade since it's not class locked... unlike in NGS which is for the upcoming Slayer class), but ALSO getting the best gear makes me lose my sanity... especially since I still can't farm Divide Quests as I'm still not in the right quota to get S rank overall in the very 1st Divide Quest (I'm close but not good enough... especially against the boss as I cannot pass the bare minimum to A-rank result), and knowing myself I wouldn't mind gambling here and there without the insurances, especially given how the "Inflation" of Darkness UQ is triggered a lot by many players on Ship 2 for obvious reasons (and ALSO keeping in mind that some setups are impossible to newcomers due to the lack of mission passes, something I have to deal with due to my stupidity of not playing the game in 2021 after trying it near the end of 2020 and the very 1st days of January 2021 before NGS was released AND not linking my old account to my Ps4 and PC on Steam in October 2022 to keep the very little progress I did back then), but on the bright side it gives me something to do to keep myself busy too, despite the issues that come with it.

That why PSO2 NGS completely throw this system all out the window. You can see that they try to patch this up via capsules but even then, it gated by a limited resource and since NA version is only 6 months old in, not really worth it.

*oor for an easier med-high unit you could just make an easy 5-6 slot unit* S-augment + Astral+Ether+Mana + Grand(atk) = 200+ATK , 100+DEF , 100+HP , 20+PP (each unit) with a 100% chance by using capsules and transfer passes? its no 400ATK unit but its as safe as it gets

in fact if possible during your 4 slot augment try for guardian soul+crack V and the easier augments like doom break and ssas then upslot to 5 6 7 with mana reverie, ether factor, absolute glare so you can keep it at 7 slots with crack V dbIII s6/7/8 mana rev, ether factor, absolute glare

Depends on the weapon and classes your using. If your Etoile(or sub classin Etoile), then augment bloom may be better as you don't get the heals and Etoile comes with a ton of crit and odds are you are already at 100%(or easily can be). That being said, augment bloom is only really good if you've affixed your weapon to the max(with 200+ atk, some def, good HP/PP, so you can get the doubling benefit on everything).

I tried this and it didnt work selecting transfer and using the pop item doesnt allow you to add a slot to the unit. You didnt actually upslot anythings as the base unit is already 5 slots. Still trying to wrap my head around this but i think you still have to upslot the base item to 8 slots in the first place.

the unit u r transfering to needs to be higher slotted. so u dont really upslot but can transfer affixes from ur lower slotted units to a higher one. thus u only have to make all of these just once...

Yes that's correct you do need to have the main unit at one slot higher to take advantage of the upslot function but when you get to 8 you can jump 2 slots you have an s class ability on the main 8 slot and from 6 you add the capsule plus the s class enables you to get 6 to 8 done

It's unfortunate because i was really excited about Guardian Soul and making my character God Tier level, but the thing is, I'm kinda being affected by the release of NGS. Like most people are. It's like most of the stuff we are doing right now is pointless because it's not gonna carry over THAT MUCH in NGS, and 90% of us are going to start over from scratch. I can understand why people let go the game and dont farm divide quests and go for top end game stuff because once on NGS, almost no one will come back to regular PSO2, unless they make some special event to force you to come back ( and I doubt it ). I think I'm gonna skip GS as well, and that makes me sad.

Vanilla ain't going anywhere, and chances are that Sega will keep adding content to it for at least a few years now. If you're planning to craft Guardian Soul, the gist is to use it in Vanilla, not in NGS.

it makes perfect sense because when you use the augment transfer function the system lets you add a capsule, so it goes from 4 -> 5 while adding the 5'th affix as a capsule, so a unit with affixes : A , B , C , D + capsule E becomes a 5 slot unit with affixes A, B, C, D,E

@@Spark5 It actually is. The donnor unit always had one slot less augments than the base unit. It's totally not upslotting. I tried to transfer augs from 6s to 5s unit and it was limited to 5s even with capsule added.

@@keroppi I think it is the wording that is confusing. As in when you move from a 5 slot to a 6 slot unit you call it "upslotting" because the augs are on a higher slotted unit. But I think many of us who are new to affixing think of upslotting as increasing the amount of slots on the higher slot unit, because you want to get to 8 slots. So when we see you putting 6 augs on a 6 slot unit, it doesn't feel like upslotting, it feels like moving augs to a 6 slot unit. Even if technically you got your augs on a unit with more slots than you did before. What I didn't quite see is if you could move only some augs to a new unit and keep other augs on that unit. I guess you can't? Because it would have been nice if I had say a 7 slot unit and wanted to just transfer over 2 augs from a low slot unit and then keep the other augs on the 7 slot unit. Maybe you could explain it in a video?

It is kind of the opposite of what an affixing noob like me would think. As in if you have to grind and mix 50 different augs first, you'd expect the result to be a fancy 100% success super aug. Not a 10%.

Correctly. You transfer your 6 Augemts onto the new 7 slot unit and the Capsule will be Augment number 7.

Yes, that is correct. What I personally would recommend is waiting for Cras Units, get it to 8 slots with an S ability on it then transfer your 6 slot Rivalate augments + mana rev to jump from 6 Augments to 8. But in your case since you already have an SSA on your units you might need to go an extra step. (Hopefully this makes sense)

To be honest, the only complicated thing about affixing is the time/money and rng you need to put into. If you ask me they can use the same system, but at least make it less time and money consuming because a lot of people that want to minmax can't really afford to no life this game for 12 hours a day nor is it worth if you play other games too for example.

That affix may be good but for what you have to do for it not worth it IMO no need for that anyway. Game is at the end now anyway no real reason unless your going for like a maxed out insane build but def not needed.

hey go watch back your video up to 2:50 to 6:10, because it doesn't make sense when you talk, I see you have a 4 slot trailblazer and I see you have a 5 slot schvelle, I do not think you up slot in the unit you just replace the one augment slot what missing on the trailblazer, and take a look around 4:38 in the video you will see your schvelle still have five slot, when u do it should have 6 slot augment not 5 slot.

I recommend scrolling down to read 999kirai’s explanation. You basically take (4 augments) A,B,C,D and add Augment E with a capsule. Then from A,B,C,D,E you add F with another capsule and keep adding until your affixes are maxed. Hopefully this explains it better.

the augment transfer trick is... from your donor (this is the important affix located), you need to transfer to1/2 slot higher (2 usually on the last, since it will contain the SSA). so example you have 4slot donor (A,B,C,D) you transfer to base 5slot, with every affixing you can use 1 capsule (not duplicate from your current augment in donor) to fill the missing slot gap (if not the final on base will be 4slot aka. down slot). you did it from 4 to 5 [ 4s donor(A,B,C,D) +1 capsule(E) ], then 5 to 6 [ 5s donor (A,B,C,D,E) +1 capsule (F) ] and on 6 you can jump to 8 [ 6s donor (A,B,C,D,E,F) +1 capsule(G) ] { if you have SSA on the base. (base SSA will be lost if you have SSA in the donor) } if not 6 to 7, then 7 to 8

Actually, Sub / Solid Barrier. That Unit's 11* & gives 4% to all Element Res., can sometimes drop with multiple Souls on it & even possibly Mastery & if nothing else you can PUT those on it. With 2 of them tricked out a bit with Souls & Mastery 3-4s it can still be a pretty solid & well-rounded Unit setup, especially if you got a decent main Unit
