Gracefully done. The elegance of this was just immaculate. Hat’s off to you!

I used to love watching these videos but now I really can't get excited for them. Don't get me wrong, this is an immaculate display of skill and your timing is on point and very awesome to watch. The problem is that every class practically plays this exact same way. Counter the attacks, dodge, release photon art. I really wish there was more to the game than spamming counters on every class.. Awesome job and good to see a lesser played weapon like bow.

It's understandable though. NGS attempts to push countering mechanic into literally every weapon may not appeal to everyone, despite different that weapon's approach/outcomes. The satisfaction is there, but repetitiveness will surely catch up in which we have to work around it through creativity. Bow even got a new skill to balance out its gameplay, but it's still look underwhelming for the mass. This clear vid is outdated by the time V2 update comes out and something could change later. I thank you and sorry for your time here.

After standing at the side and watch the game state and others in angst for a year or two, you will eventually get used to it. It's ok now haha.

Damn I kinda dropped Bow due to how NGS treated it Mad respect for still sticking to it until now ngl Also what do you think about the state of Bow compared to PSO2's?
@Argus_PSO2 Жыл бұрын
It's a lot less input intensive and offers much greater freedom to engage your enemy compared to PSO2's, in exchange of a very counter-centric gameplay and greater discipline required in planning your shots. There's no Banishing Arrow dictate your timer, yet every second lost from poor decision making on PA or Counter will be even more punishing. As a person that wrote the guide for old bow, I ended up liking the new version here even though I'm complaining about it daily lmao. When everything clicks, it ends up being more satisfying to play than mashing 12+ actions in a span of 5 seconds. It gets the job done right, but maybe requires too much effort to feel worthwhile. To be honest, NGS bow really needs 1-2 more skills to make it feels "just right" on par to the time when PSO2 Bow got introduced to "PA Slide Movement" which was the absolute game changer. Bow Elusion EX Counter is close to that, despite how miniscule it seems in grand schemes of things. But the "visible impact" is barely recognizable for the majority of bow players in NGS era. We can use more though, such as a spending skill compared to other class weapon (i.e. TMG Hail of Bullets, Rifle Spread Shot, JB Jet-sweep Jolt, etc.) that build off the counters & PA, maybe gauge-like mechanic similar to Slayer that also allow minor contribution from katana, or even enabling insta-charge with conditions. That's all it takes, I think, and June patch will tell what future holds for bow.

@@Argus_PSO2 I agree whole heartedly I’ve been playing bow for awhile now and you have been my guide through it all from me trying to learn it on base so I can compare it. Having no attachment to base and ngs both I have to say it’s more fun in terms of freedom compared to base but you REALLY have to pick your shots correctly on NGS which rewards you with a dance like play style throughout the whole fight and it feels great but like you said it’s just missing 1-2 mechanics that will make bow feel complete.

@@Argus_PSO2 if you don’t mind me asking what is your take on the best fixa for bow?
@Argus_PSO2 Жыл бұрын
@@jugo1023456 Oh, I didn't see the question. Sorry about that. In my honest opinion, the best Fixa concept actually applies to literally every class weapon. The decision making here is to check what Potential (& certain affixes) that weapon has, what are you actually fighting against, and how affordable/accessible it can be for you. The very basic idea here that I keep with myself is "in general" Fatal > Terminal > Attack. Level 3 is often the best bang for bucks for all of them, and less in order requires +1 or +2 level to be comparable even with all of those Add-on skills and Slayer subclass if used. Higher critical strike chance means more critical hit roll, which means skipping your damage variance calculation to do crit damage. It also works well with higher level enemies as they have more DEF, thus, affecting your raw ATK value. More crit chance will alleviate that as seen in this video clear. However, if you can manage to get over 33-35%+ critical strike chance [consistently] with low conditionals, then Termina could be a better option for more damage spike. This is true for Seasonal Weapons with Sezun affix that provides +20% crit rate by just hitting mark target. It always happen during that; as an example. Still, it's RNG festival here. Attack is the last choice of everything due to how Crit Rate/Hit becomes prevalent these days. If you can get it without spending a dime, then good. Otherwise, you would aim for Fatal and Termina depending on the above factors.

@@Argus_PSO2 hey there thanks for replying and no worries. Interesting and thanks for the explanation. But what would you use in terms of unit fixas?
