So basically status works almost exactly like it does in Monster Hunter. Nice. I always liked that system.

This is really good information, and you told it well What you said at 11:14 was also very nice I feel. It's relatable for people like me who want to play semi-casually (I like to play how I like to play, but I also want to be strong). It was definitely informative and I'm really excited to see what strategies we can come up with knowing that there is some kind of system in place that, rather than predict, can fully understand and know for sure when things will happen.

This is one of the most useful videos I've found yet. It's something I've been looking forward to knowing more about. (Techer/Hunter all the way. :) ) I think one of the most useful things to see next would actually be a compilation of those optimal enemy damage zones since enemies like the Bujin, (as you said, he doesn't have a weak spot) and that can lead to people not being sure which enemies have optimal weak spots and which don't. Some even have more than one spot worth attacking too. In addition, I checked a recording where I used a Sward on the Bujin and used a barta detonation on him. He froze rather quickly, at about 33 points. Using your measurement of 44, it seems like a detonation, on its OWN may have a value of around 10 extra points.

This is super niche and I'm into it. I feel like you could do a lot with teamwork as well! If you're the only elemental fighter, you can call out when you're about to down an enemy. This will give everyone a perfect time to use their photon blasts or any other attack that requires the enemy stay still. Also proud to be your second Twitter follower!

Are you planning on making a video on talis in regards to using techs vs tech shots? I'm still trying to figure out if it's better to proc ice/lightening stacks or just use tech shots because of the speed. Really enjoy your videos, thank you!
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Yes as tech shots r likely better as its a part of the weapons core but you do lose the ability to stack Barta blot nd zonde clad. So I need to put more thought into it as I dont use talis much.
@holonholon11413 жыл бұрын
Based on the framedata sheet being circulated on the PSO2 Fleet discord: It depends on the fight. For monsters susceptible to Gifoie (fire weakness, weakspot can be hit by charged Gifoie), that's optimal. Otherwise Talis shots are higher DPS. In zerg situations where you don't have control over Down states, it's also possible to build a Talis Techter for rapid PB charging. I'd love to see some theorycraft on PBs too though...
@CopyCat19953 жыл бұрын
From my own experience, unless you're playing Te/Fo which gives you access to Rods and all of its supportive skills, tech shots are much better compared to trying to proc ice/lightning stacks simply because they're more PP efficient.

To add on a bit to the status resistance theory; It wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of resistance, as pso2 base game had that. I have noticed though, when I'm running dragon UQ with my alliance it seems relatively easy to get multiple knockdowns with both physical and elemental damage.
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Yeh I think as the difficulty increases those UQ downs are going to get much harder to do.
@Skydron2 жыл бұрын
Really hope they make status effect builds more viable in NGS than in the base game.
@Einhander2 жыл бұрын
The tricky part is how they handle enemy down scaling. Retem was not as generous as Aelio nd it could be worse as the game progresses. Without wind wand techter down speed was noticeably slower. I suspect downs will continue to prove valuable more in team play than solo. With that said I dont know if it will be worth going full damage.
@Skydron2 жыл бұрын
@@Einhander What I mean with status effect builds is things like applying burn or poison to an enemy to apply DoTs to help with dealing with baddies. I don’t know if you’ve played SAO Fatal Bullet, but their engineer build is like what I’m thinking off for a status effect build.

This is awesome info thank you! I can already see people optimizing their teams to have the bosses downed most of the fight lol. One question tho cus I never really understood it fully in base ps02, how would physical weapons like a sword per se work if they have an element imbued into them? in NGS right now I dont think any physical weapons have elements but im sure eventually they will so would that mean we'd be stacking physical downs and elemental downs at the same time?
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Right in PSO2 weapons had element for the purpose of additional damage scaling that muddied the water. Now only techniques and wands have elements everything else results in physical down status. Downs were likely one reason as to why they removed elements from weapons as fighter would just dominate with its relentless speed.
@imcel89533 жыл бұрын
Nice video. I was wondering...when playing Techter should I just be applying an element then doing basic attacks? Or should I be using one of the PAs more frequently?
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
The PA wave crash on paper is the go to attack vs normal given its speed and damage. So it is a strong element application tool when using wand, that nd wand parry. Normals for when you need to be PP conscious.
@IFatNinjaI3 жыл бұрын
But why do you need to cancel elements? You can just switch to another element and save skill point.
@IFatNinjaI3 жыл бұрын
Also, sorry to spam, but I've seen it twice now. You can do at least 3 status down in a row in UQ boss with 2 casters. I wonder how it works with 50% resistance.
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
You don't increase physical down by switching element, as the wand still has non elemental explosions essentially doubling the rate.
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
UQs likely act different given the scale of attacks and the difficulty of current content.
@antonkatsu62663 жыл бұрын
So the elemental weakness is mainly for applying the downed state and nothing to do with taking increased damage from that element?
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
There are damage benefits from elements. Though looking at it right now its not strong as it was in PSO2. I think element weak wand explosions add ~ 5% to your norm attack dps as a reference. So its doesn't appear to be a major loss in favor of not using the element to hold off on triggering a down state.

Meanwhile, i managed to freeze it 4 times with the same set up but ice tech, so I'm pretty sure you can't inflict talis on sth that isn't weak to that element.

@@CopyCat1995 I've shocked Sword and Axe Daityl's and they are not weak to electric. In fact im pretty sure the UQ Peta's are the only enemies in the game weak to electric and I'm positive i've shocked more bosses than just Sword & Axe Daityl's.
@CopyCat19953 жыл бұрын
@@LoveSeeker81392 when an enemy is shocked by zonde arts, they glow purple with electricity while they're stunned, while Sword and Axe Daityls have parts on their bodies that you can break, which will cause them to jolt slightly without actually being stunned. There's also physical down, which makes them glow slightly yellow while stunned. Please check if they're either of these the next time you fight a Daityl, because I've never seen them act like that even while i played without knowing about elemental downs.

I'm working my way through the tutorial. Is wand revoke something on the tree? Also I active the element on the wand by casting a powered spell, how do I revoke or cancel that element????? Thank you
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a skill in the techter skill tree in the wand skill section. To add an element you charge a technique. To remove the element you hold the weapon action. This will make sound effect indicating the element has been removed in addition to the visual effect on the wand vanishing.
@astolf99-873 жыл бұрын
Instead of revoking the element cant you just swap to another one?
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Yes but then you don't increase your ability to cause physical downs, which are also very important. Swapping elements doesn't buy you anything being the major con of doing so.
@LoveSeeker813923 жыл бұрын
Personally I just use weak element 1st till down, then swap to new element till down, and repeat. Others can focus on physical downs, our job is to the the elemental downs. I've never fought anything that lived more than 2 elemental downs and a physical down in a row, even in UQ. As a side note you can multi weapon a wand to stop applying elemental damage. I will never use a skill point in wand revoke when my wand stays charged regardless if i use another multi weapon attack or not.
@Einhander3 жыл бұрын
Its definitely a person choice and will come down to how you use the wand in a multi-weapon. I use wand parry a lot so in addition to other physical weapons its an additional boost, especially if those parries were to inadvertently trigger a status you did not want at that time. Another thing I am keeping an eye out for is triggers and future updates that might be 4-man bound or solo in nature. Given the games very friendly solo scaling these options are good to take advantage of.
