I’m force, I use Talis multi weaponed with a rod so that I have instant access to rod guard and can immediately counter with elemental bullet. Also being able to cancel Talis stances with the guard and start quick casting with photon flare feels really smooth. This also allows me to use tricky capacitor for mana regen and the Talis WA for even more regen. Currently loving it!

I also question this due to needing a resurgir weapon. You gain huge DPS when you guard with the rod, both for the elemental bullet and for barta blot/zonde clad contribution. So as a force, I rarely try to dodge anything. The 40% damage resistance from foursis seems way better, especially to avoid being one-shot after failing a guard. Talis to me seems overcomplicated for no real good benefit, but maybe that's just me.

Yeah like Fo is kinda best fit with Hunter as sub. For some reason adding other class with Force kinda not quite fit. Even techter's damage boost only works as a main class so that's also out... Having played the old PSO2 for several years, the way classes work in NGS seems a lot more forgiving. In some ways there are less “experiments” to play with when it comes to class combinations and skills, but choosing a sub class is a lot easier now. Hu for defense, Fi for down damage boost, Gu or Fo for PP regen. As for Ra and Te… they don’t seem to do much as sub classes. For most classes, can’t go wrong with sub Hu or Fo.
@jojobii

ngl I base my subclass on whatever I want my subweapon to be, as I don't main a single one given the amount of weapon combinations between classes, there is quite a lot of room for experimentation >w< then again, for a single weapon setup, then it's a much simpler process lol

I'm force main but I have tried out many different combination. I used Techter/Force with Rod/Talis multi, Force/Hunter with Rod/Wire multi, and Force/Techter with Rod/Talis. From my experience, I like playing both wire and talis as a mobbing tool where both have their pros and cons. Techter/Force if I wanna play a more support Force when providing Shifta/Deband, Photon Blast Gain and CC to bosses. Force/Hunter for the same reason in the video. Force/Techter for when I wanna be more offensive and Techter tree provide me skills from force tree so I save skill points from Force tree to use in other. For wire, you have great mobility and mobbing and with the help of force eradication pp gain, you are able to mob fairly well without worry about pp all to much. Wire is reliant on Eradication PP Gain to keep up their mobbing since they can't kill as fast as talis, but they can AoE longer than talis. I would also not really take hunter Slow Landing Charge for wire since it doesn't have any charging PA and use that skill point somewhere else. While for talis, they can AoE elemental damage around them, in doing so, provide better utility than wire since they can freeze those belly of the mob to kill them. They also can benefit from Eradication PP Gain but not as much wire since they burn PP faster than wire, but they have access to the own PA, Tricky Capacitor, as a way to get back all their pp they lose when you land the hits of it.

It's cool that you're having so much fun with Wire, I think it's fun too! Even if situationally niche, being able to survive an additional hit (+50%, or +33% with Foursis) makes the effective survivability in the Hunter subclass look better in practice than theorycraft (which mathematically assumes 0 overkill damage). The Foursis line has some of good multis for Rod. FoGu can go Rifle for that busted AoE and extra PP, but metagaming Hu sub is style!
@LazerRay1
@LazerRay1 3 жыл бұрын
I run a Force/Hunter on my alt and she has a Foursis rod/wire lace as her primary weapon and a Vialto talis/spear as the secondary, the rod/wire gets a lot more use since that multi-weapon works well in most situations, since the rod handles the spike or elemental damage and the wire lance is an AoE fast attack with gap closing. The two multi-weapons also make for fun surprise attack switching which fits well with the trickster concept of my alt since I made her as a kitsune.

I think I've settled on Fi/Hu Knuckle/Sword. At first I didn't see much value in a multi of two near functionally identical weapons until I realized I could outsource the Knuckles' counterattack skills to the Sword and the Hunter skill tree, thus freeing up some Fighter SP. Both weapons being in the Cattleya series helps.

I had to go with Hunter Sub cause Braver counter was really hard at first. I multi-weaponed wired lance for the WA utility, but I ended up really liking it. I used the Wired Lance for AOE clearing more often than the AOE slash Katana has. What really bugs me about PSO2 isn't getting knocked away, but being barely hit and then everything decides to attack me at once and I can't do a damn thing because I'm in flinch animation.

Been really enjoying Ra/Fo. Sticking the rod/rifle together and launcher/talis together lets me cast spells and stay mobile while enjoying relatively good damage and safety. I feel like I haven't fully tapped into this class combo's potential yet and it already feels really good. This game definitely seems to let you lean into flexibility and play how you want without feeling like you're giving up anything by not focusing on a single style.

I'm a Techter / Hunter, using Talis, Wire-lance and sword (no, not multi, mostly due to not having the same weapon affix), playing on controller. Talis for backing off, and attacking from distance and downing them with elementals. I don't use spread mode, and mainly use talis for single-target dps. WL for gap-closer and AoE mob clearing, sword for close range DPS. (planning to sword-base multi weapon WL). Basically, instead of looking for synergy and combos, just broadening my arsenal for flexibility.

I'm playing Fo/Te, as Force has plenty of utility skills I wanted and Techer sub lets me get them, essentially being like free points on my main class. For anyone interested in upping their defense without necessarily going for a Hunter subclass (which requires a lot of points invested into Flash Guard), I highly recommend checking out the Vialto Armor units. Without augment, Vialto Armors gives you 30 more HP for free, up to 90 if you equip three. With very affordable augments like Stamina II and Alts Soul II, you can go for up to 50 HP and 2% Damage resistance per piece, for a total of 150 HP and 6% damage resistance with all 3. 150HP alone is almost a 50% health increase.

So was a fi/hu using twin/wire combo but now I am using fi/gu with same multiweapon, you can still use the weapon action of a class u don't have on ur multiweapon, just no PA's. I am personally playing with Force Techer. This allows me to use both rod and talis since I can unlock almost everything for rod under the force tree and put points into the talis skills and barta/zonde skills under teacher. Right now I don't have that much trouble using rod's counter but I am planning on switching up my mouse and keybindings. Right now I use a mouse with 1 - 12 on the side so using skills and resta are instant. But I plan to remove the weapon action off all my pallets and swap out the side of my mouse for a 2 button side and map the weapon action to one of them. So I assume I will die a lot more with all my characters and classes. Thank you for this I will try it out while I test my new method out.

At the moment, I'm still a bit unsure on what class to use as sub on Force. I've been trying Techer for that extra PB buildup, and for spending points in Talis without doing it on Force, and I've been trying out Gunner for the extra PP recovery on attacks. One thing though I am mostly sure of is I'll probably won't stick to Talis in the future. I tried them for a bit, and that's the weapon I mained when I put Techer as main class for a bit, and while it's quite interesting as a weapon, I have some issues with it mainly due to how its vertical tracking is severely limited compared to the Rod. That and the Rod's Guard WA is honestly so good. A big thing to keep in mind about the elemental bullets when you do a counter is that those 2 bullets will count as extra uncharged elemental attacks for ice and lightning, which helps buildup those sigils faster, and thus help improving your damage further. There's another reason for my pure focus on Rod right now, and it's the fact that I am still using endgame Klauz gear from PSO2. That gear is ridiculously strong, and I even tried to make a +40 Foursis Rod with as many big stuff I could put on it...and there barely was any difference in the damage between Foursis and Klauz Rod. That alone made me think it might be safer to just keep stockpiling materials for the time being and keep using the Klauz gear for the time being. I know you did a video that compared damage stats between Klauz and NGS 4* weapons, but I'm not sure if that video took into account the fact that Klauz gear might have 8 Legacy affixes on them that can give some huge damage improvements, thus making it harder for NGS 4* gear to compete. I will say though that NGS armor would give more defense than Klauz gear, but again, Klauz units with 8 Legacy affixes would have a lot of extra damage stats. In that case it would be more of a decision between wanting more damage or wanting more survivability, which would also basically tie in with your personal skill and confidence as a player. For the time being, looks like I'll be sticking to my Klauz gear until we get new rarity gear that is actually a clear improvement in damage. And I'll just keep stockpiling materials so I have huge reserves when the time comes.

I'm going for a very far range playstyle with Fo/Gu or Fo/Ra and a rod/rifle mw. The reason for rifle is simple: I enjoy Homing Darts too much for mobbing and the Rifle normal attacks feel better to use to regen that PP than rod's normal. Gunner is just awesome for offensive PP recovery which complements Force's natural PP recovery well when I'm just attacking all day. I know Ranger doesn't provide much in terms of sub atm, but I sometimes keep a launcher weapon swap handy (and might make a talis/launcher mw).

Right now I'm working on RaFo (at level 15) and it's a pretty crazy combo. The PP regen buff + spamming the Ranger crowd control PA melts PSE Bursts. Sword is pretty good for moving around too with it's mobbing skill. It kinda reminds me of Safoie Zero from base pso2 except its a damage skill and has a bigger radius. I know base pso2 had a similar PA for sword too, but it was stationary, slow (like everything sword was in base pso2) and had a smaller radius.

One of my char is Fi/Hu with Twin Daggers + Wired Lance. Wire Lance is indeed a very good weapon. Extremely good aoe, gap closing, guard i-frames. Not very good for bossing 1v1, but that's why it's daggers as base weapon and wire lance as an AOE + Gap closing utility. AMAZING. And about talis.....I've almost decided of maining it as a Te/Fo. It's amazingly good, Honestly! The only issue with talis is that it's one those few weapons that doesn't have any counter/guard capability, and very less s too :(. As for dodging is considered, it didn't feel very good to me. There are times when it's unable to cancel the animation, and i end up getting hit before it can proceed into the dodge animation. And if we think of overcoming this issue by simply Multi-Weaponing a good counter/parry weapon-action, it doesn't work very well because of the fact that as soon as you use the WA of the secondary weapon on the MW, you will lose the talis stance and will have to recast it again. So tl;dr talis is kinda mushy if not played safely from distance, and to make it even worse the only good 4* weapon, i.e. resurgir talis, needs us to dodge or block attacks to activate it's potential.

I find going rifle/rod is a really good option. Weak bullet makes up for a 10% damage loss of using subclass weapons. But the rod provides elemental damage for downs, turning ranger into a really strong dps support. With mobility, aoe and defensive options with the rifle/rod multi-weapon. And your launcher provides really good single target damage when you can get the aggro off you.

@@alexmo9299 I'm fairly sure elements don't cause extra damage, they just trigger status effects more easily if the target is weak to that element.

Why are people questioning this combo? they removed different main attack stat types... its literally now whats fun or what synergy they have [spoiler alert not alot of stuff synergise like they used too] this could change in the future with higher lv cap and newer skills but as the game is now lv20 cap theres is literelly no reason to play old combos try out new combo's you would never do until higher lv caps and more fleshed out combo's

I'm loving force so far even if I'm still really getting a hang of the controls (key/mou) with how "floaty" it is, I was Eitol in base but only for few weeks before NGS dropped. I've been stuck on going Fo/Hu or Fo/Fi I really like the Wire-Lance concept but I also like the Twin Daggers of Fi. I heard someone saying you could equip a non class weapon if all you want is the gap-close but that doesn't seem to be true? I've not unlocked Sub classes yet so that might be why I don't see the option.. haven't had whole lot'a time to play ;w;. Would love to see your skill tree (you forgot the link ♥), been very confuzled on what to take for Force.. more specifically how much to put into pp conversion vs pp recovery boost.. like one point into conversion and its 2nd charge makes sense, but I can't help think, especially as someone who forgets to use active support skills that recover boost would do me better rather than maxing conversion.

I main fighter on base PSO2 and NGS, my second favorite class is bouncer but meanwhile im waiting for it, im working on a full tech build with my second character, why full tech? because i never did that on PSO2 (and honestly, i didn't liked force too much there). I had to invest heavily on Fo and Te trees for maxing my techs and be able to use Rod and Talis, so far everyday im getting better and now i aggro much more constantly the enemies, im having a blast playing this way but for my 4th or 5th character im thinking in going a mix of melee/tech build as a techer, cant wait to use wired lances because it look much better than the ones on PSO2!

@kevadu
@kevadu 3 жыл бұрын
Fighter isn't even all that frail in this version. In fact it's probably the 2nd tankiest class after Hunter, not to mention that all the weapons have some sort of parry. "But overload" I hear you cry. Look, overload now only lasts 30 seconds and has a horribly long cooldown, which leads to me saving it for downs anyway. Even putting survivability aside that's the best time for DPS. And by the time the down is over half my overload time is gone anyway. It's a non-issue...
