Its not actually too short. The reason that the holes show when the disc drive is installed is for the plastic stands that come with the disc drive. It's so you can lay it down with the taller plastic stands. It's not an issue with the cover being too short

I swapped my m.2 drive before I powered up my pro for the first time and can confirm it does not wipe anything. The pro had to update and then I logged in and all my games were still there. So there's no worries, you can just swap it right away without an issue.

Hi Jimmy. Have you noticed a wide amount of complaints on the PS5 Pro WiFi issues? I kept having to restart my pro to get games to keep down loading because they would stop. Even adjusted DNS. Did this several times then a test connection seemed to resolve it for now. I’ve seen some reddits on this issue with other pro owners. I don’t see any ownership from Sony on this.

Many have posted here correcting your assertion that there are small holes exposed on the side of the console, so I won't go over that here. I would say that you ignored the changes to the ports on this video. The front ports are two USB C, one is a fast connection for the PSVR2. This does mean that any charging cables with a USB A on the end won't work anymore.

Your 2 TB built in drive should be able to hold a good 15 really big games, or around 20 normal games. FF7 Rebirth is one of the biggest at 145 gigs, most are half that… Wait for the SSD til you start getting close.

I had a great run setting up my pro. But I was excited to put in my Diablo 4 disk.. then I hit issues. But I deleted the install and re-download of the disk.. but I was disappointed with the 5 hr download for me to start playing my first game.. I did expect 2 hrs.. but I am very happy with the quality of the upgrades of the Pro over my first day ps5.. I didn't like the slim. The pro +disk drive+vertical stand cost me double of what I paid for my day one ps5. $1407. Opposed to $718 for ps5 all Inc

The real fix is just keep using the standard PS5 Disk Model or the Slim version & don't waste your money on a PS5 Pro. Instead ...wait approx. 2 yrs. & put that money on the Sony PS6. For the naysayers ...M.S. is launching their Nex-Gen Console too in that same time frame, but they want to release their new Console "Before" Sony.🙂

The PS5 "Pro" was in development longer then the actual PS5. This iteration of the console was supposed to be what the console was going to be at launch. But, Sony couldn't mark down the tech to a $500 price point to compete with Nintendo and Microsoft so, they dumbed down what the console was supposed to be and gave us this $700 "upgrade" when really its just doing what they told us the other one could do. They wait until around 50million units of the console "sold" then they went and did their next "upgrade" when really they just weren't ready to release the next genration console when they were promoting it. Remember the PS5 is on a 10 year lifecycle if that, we'll see one more iteration of the "pro" that will actually be a Pro upgrade with the tech, design, and presentation overall. This is just what they said we'd be getting when they first talked about the console and they're just asking for an extra $200 on top of the price of a disc drive and a stand. The PS5 "Pro" is a cash grab and scam to most of us outside the 1% of gamers who have an 8K TV. Also they fact this "pro" console doesn't come with a Pro Controller left it burnt after asking for the extra money to give us stuff they said the console will already do.

My dude, the pro uses hybrid RDNA3 gpu architecture mixed with upcoming RDNA4 RT cores, neither of which existed when the PS5 originally released. You're telling me Sony planned to use technology that hadn't even passed initial testing phases of development yet? At the time the PS5 came out, RDNA2 was brand new. When RDNA3 gpus came out, they were released EARLIER than intended to compete with nvidia. This whole conspiracy is a total asspull.

What if I need to transfer from one M.2 SSD to another? Since I upgraded from a 2TB to a 4TB drive so it's not as easy since I can't swap. The only solution I found was to move it to a USB extended storage and then move it from the USB drive to the PS5 Pro's M.2 SSD.
