When the Beatles came on the scene, their music was knocking the crap our of the crooners, Sinatra, Dino, Damone & others. The song "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime" was written for Frank Sinatra in 1948. Even though Frank sang it, it just laid there. It was also later recorded by Peggy Lee and Dinah Washington & it still just sat there. Then, it was Dino's turn !! His recording of the song knocked " A Hard Day's Night " off the top of the US chart on August 15, 1964, Dino sent a telegram to Elvis Presley that read, "If you can't handle the Beatles, I'll do it for you, pally." !! He was the first of the "old guys" to knock off the Beatles. And that, my friends, is today's music trivia !!

I still remember the day Sinatra passed. My senior year of highschool. We had Friday with Frank every Friday morning before home room . Miss that man! As for a Sinatra impression Sal definitely crushed it. For an original take on Frank, the dude with the guitar crushed it. I honestly forget just name, even though I know he’s big time.

"Can't take my eyes off you", may have been sung by Sinatra, but it was written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio in 1967 and was originally sung by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and earned them a Gold Record, Gaudio was a member of the Four Seasons.

Also the rendition of it that the guy did was pure trash, a complete disrespect to the original
@freebird1282 жыл бұрын
I don't think it was ever sang by Sinatra.
@operez32 жыл бұрын
It was sung by Frankie Valli not Frank Sinatra
@rogersamsamsy8973 Жыл бұрын
@@eoinmurphy7998 the guy who sang is James Arthur which who you now know as the artist who wrote so many popular songs we all know such as Say you wont let go. I dont think his rendition is trash at all, it has a different flavor which is refreshing to the taste

Frank NEVER recorded “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. That’s a fact. Of all these singers the older gentleman was the best because he came closest to capturing Sinatra’s sound. He did good. And kudos to the little girl, she was great. She has a good ear.
