Nah pc with headphones is best, you can have a better screen to appreciate the greatness, have many more choices to use controls, and could even have mods if you really want. Only thing that could compete really would be switch, since it would be the same but with the vita portability too

Folks who wanted to experience the best version of Persona 4 had to come to the Vita/PSTV, which was a great way to pull more folks into this community. That said, I think most of the folks who wanted to experience it by now (off the heels of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal) probably already have, so we were probably able to grow our community using this title as much as we could. It will still attract physical game collectors for the time being, and we just need to remind people of all the other great games on the system.

And about the patch. It looks AWESOME. Persona 4 Golden always looked a bit grainy on the PSTV, so this patch cleans that right up and IMO it looks better than the PC version in some ways.

Apart from the Vita version being the only physical one in the world, P4G on Vita is also the only portable P4G experience. . In addition, unlike the PC, you don't need to beef up your Vita's hardware to make sure the game works. Even without this patch, the game works beautifully on Vita, especially on the OLED screen.

Although I'm very interesting in my opinions about video games since there are certain popular series that I don't think are good, while the majority will say it is. honestly don't care about the majority's opinions. I own the vita ps4g and the pc version. The pc version not only has 1080p but 4K downscaling as well (that’s that 200% thing) it renders at 4K and downscales to 1080, but playing it 4K is gorgeous

The problem with this is that the PC version doesn't only enhance the graphics to 1080p. 1. It supports 4k (which I normally use for singleplayer games) 2. 200% renderscale of 4k or under for 3d models 3. The shadows are tuned And some other small visual fixes. But its a great 1080p patch tho!

P.S. this is a TLDR reader discretion is advise. See that's kind of what my comment was implying but I'll definitely fanboy more for P4G than P5. Which I also beat P4G too 2-3 times. Since P5 just didn't click to me, never liked any of the characters, story was eh, gameplay felt to slow, I knew Akechi was the traitor cuz it was so obvious, didn't like the battle with the reaper since flu season is a thing, leveling up was to slow, and I didn't like the whole tearing off a mask to summon your persona, unlike P4G and 3 where respectively destroying a tarot card was way cooler, and evoking death with a firearm was sick, and I understand that the ripping off the mask is a sign of psychology as people are wearing masks all the time but I just didn't vibe with it.

I do not own Vita and P4 on pc was not a big deal for me... more like a nice surprise. I branded Persona as that "exclusive" series and even though I own Ps4 I never bought P5 because I was not ready to play that big game at that time. Now when I saw P4 is on pc I bought it and just took it as my starting title for this series (hoping 3 and 5 will be on pc too... I am more comfortable playing jrpgs on pc).

I loved Persona 4. I don't care at all that it came to the PC because it looked just fine on the Vita to me. In fact I still play my 3ds and GBA Advance. Yeah they look pretty fuzzy compared to the Switch, but I get used to it and its all good! I'm glad as many people can play good games as possible!

Tip: You have to overclock the game before applying the plugin to get better performance. The PSVShell crashes when activated while the 720p/1080p plugin is enabled.

I'd like to hope that "P4 Golden" releasing on Steam might deepen appreciation for the Vita among gamers in general. Every time something like this game or the "Hyperdimension Neptunia: Rebirth" games release to Steam, people ask "Where has this vastly-improved version been all my life?!". The answer often comes back, "On the Vita, for the past several years or so." If nothing else, I think it builds an appreciation for what the Vita had going on in its heydey, even if things like the cost of memory cards and the increasing scarcity of the consoles might prevent more casual gamers from going back to the original system.

I know Persona 4 Golden is great, but I really didn't think of it too much as an exclusive in that you can pick up the original on PS2 for cheap. When I think of exclusive, I think of something like Soul Sacrifice (which I would love to see get a deluxe version on PS4). Either way, Persona 4 Golden is still a physical exclusive on the Vita. That still does not change!

It gives better experience when played in the psvita than in the PC since you can play it anytime, anywhere without getting your ass glued for hours in front of the screen. Also there's a risk that PC gamers(also consoles gamers) cannot avoid and might happen anytime... BLACKOUT.

Late comment I know but I think everyone who wanted a vita for persona 4 got it already, everyone else either doesn't care about the game or wouldn't have bought a vita for it anyways, so it really doesn't effect the vita community, just gives more people the ability to play it and more options for graphics and modding. I still think the vita version has its place though, steam deck is pretty much the only other way of playing this game on a mobile platform, and while it's much more comfortable, and looks better, the vita is still maybe a quarter the size of the steam deck, the vita will always have it's portability going for it, now that I think about it, I think the vita 2000 is the smallest handheld this century, at least when comparing the biggest 3 companies in the space

Well, some weeks ago i wrote a comment on a video about how i wanted to be part of a Persona release (2 years late for P5, way too late for P4) and enjoy the game as everyone was playing it. So, ho and behold, it came exactly on my birthday (couldnt buy it, im just a poor college kid) but it was cool to see the game getting the stage once more. Its sad that the Vita's biggest appeal is now gone, but now more people can enjoy the game i dear so much. And hold on, im already playing it with the native resolution of the Vita screen with Vitagraphix, whats the difference now with the supersampled image ? If it says i have to unable that plugging, it means it looks even better than it does now? :o

I missed mines and have been playing with the hd patch and it’s beautiful but one thing has been bugging me. It seems that the games opening cinematic and other cutscenes have gone down in resolution, along with the characters portraits in game while they speak. It’s small but it really bugs me.

Saw the news about P4G on PC. My first thought was NOT "ohno! Others that don't have a Vita can play the game! DX" it was , "ahh! Others can play the game too! Do I want to shell out for this game again too?" I adore P4G. It was the sole reason I bought P5 so having P4G out for others to play is a good thing! I know there are P1-P2 fans that are hardcore in their love for their games. Same for P3. So I understand completely like when I talk to people that only played P5/R and never played P4G. I admit I only play P4G and P5/R but I swear the others are on my list somewhere just uh...let me spend more time with 4 and 5. I like my crazy boys okay? and I honestly thought Atlus dropped this as a update (the mod) at first and really was about to flip until I remember, "oh yea. fan mods. We can do that. huhuhuh" Atlus wouldn't but man if they actually did I would buy the patch (I buy most things from them anyways STILL BITTER ON P5R GUYS GIVE ME DLCS HERE ) Also you got the wrong waifu up there. Adachi is best waifu man. He's the high maintenance top tier I-ain't-doing-shit kind of girl that totally needs some loving. (I'm kidding. Its totally Yosuke. Just graphical. But even with Vitagraphix the game looks vastly different from vanilla. For some reason the devs made the game with a lower resolution from the screen, so it looks blurry. It isnt an issue and it still looks great, but you can notice the difference when you increase the res.

Honestly when I first saw this, it shocked me that atlus moved away from sony consoles and added one of their greatest games onto pc. I was happy since I never owned a vita, and glad that I waited to see if atlus was going to announce something like this.

When I see all the patches and mods fans bring out for the hacked Vita, I shudder when thinking about Vanilla Vita. Most Vita games I played so far run poorly without overclocking. The Persona Dancing Endless Night games are unplayable to me due to all that frame skipping and lagging and all that. The music and notes are just that unsync, that I can barely hit anything. Same for Catherine Full Body; the game stutters non-stop. Or does it have to do with a lower Firmware? Because it gets really unplayable or at least unenjoyable otherwise...

Seriously Vita isn't just about the games exclusivity or high res quality, it's mainly the portable experience, so far that's only possible on Vita! Personally I find the Persona games and its high school lifestyle overrated! I'll take any Ys or Danganronpa game instead anytime of the day! The console still has plenty of exclusives that probably will never be possible to be played on any other system!

Clickbait thumbnail is dumb, it's still 1080i instead of 1080p, and PC can run it at 60+ fps. That aside, I own both Vita and PC, and really happy it got ported to PC, it's a great game and more people should play it. Being mad that main system seller and exclusive has left vita is just sad. Vita is not even in production anymore, there is no point being mad. Regarding video, it's so weird then. Why did developers put the game in sub vita resoulution, if vita can run it in 1080i? Seems really weird.

Why not? Vita is so much better when hacked. It's actually amazingly better. You can overclock the thing, instal graphics patches for games, improve colors on the slim, install emulators and so much more. You are missing out on a lot of stuff.

@@TheWWWyrm, my mom would kill me because it was expensive to find a Vita for my 16th birthday, and the cartridges were expensive for Terraria, Lego Harry Potter, call of duty black ops declassified, need for speed most wanted, final fantasy x hd remaster, dungeon Hunter allegiance, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Also I bought on digital: Legend Of Dragoon, Minecraft ps Vita edition, persona 3 dancing in moonlight, persona 3 portable, Castlevania the Dracula x chronicles, final fantasy iv the completion collection, final fantasy 3, monster Hunter freedom unite, and undertale. I would die if all that was lost to hacking

I was afraid of it too, but hacking it is very easy nowadays. Now if you do extreme stuff then yes, its dangerous but for pirating games (which i dont condone) or doing stuff like this (changing resolutions) is very safe to do. Plus you really dont get blocked from the PSN, you can still use it.
