My dad bought me this game for PS one, I was a kid and had no idea what a resident evil game is. So I started playing went pass the first door found the guy on the ground and suddenly the first zombie popped up behind me right into my face and then boom! I threw the controller into the air and never came back to this game. Watching this longplay reminds me of the memories. Good days 😊😌

I on the other hand thought there was a zombie in the closet, I mean anyone who had played Resident Evil games would think the same, so I shot towards where the head of the zombie would be, which was high. Then was relieved that it was only Lily, of course I didn't shoot her like him and the one bullet I did shoot wouldn't hit her anyways so that was close.

I don't get why people hate on this game...it is just like the others on the ps1 except they went for an arcade gameplay feel to it and you get unlimited ammo which is awesome! It has great music and the same sound effects and a decent storyline. I choose resident evil survivor over any of the new games....(re5/6).no it's not better than 1/2/3/4/code veronicax but it's still a good game. I'll take it over re dead aim and the outbreak series too.

I actually like the first-person prospective in this game. Funny thing is, Resident Evil 1 was supposed to be in the 1st person as well, but it was too difficult to realize back in 1996, so developers switched to the 3rd person with pre-rendered backgrounds. Same technology was in the predecessor game of RE series - Alone in the Dark (1992, Infogrames)

My first Resident evil game too. The most realistic gun shot sound ever and you even see each bullet on the screen and the cursor (which you could move in any direction over any zombie-body part while you stand still) making you feel like you're really there in first person perspective. I still replay this videogame and I marked on the manual all the times I played it through the years around 8 or 10 times so far since year 2000, I would have to check the manual to know for a fact and a number of times during this game maby 5 times you choose a certain path out of 3 or 2, and when you do you can't return to choose another path (and you can't even save the game either), so each time I played this game I always kept the PS1 on even over night if I had to, and I also wrote down on the manual each path I took so that next time when I played this game I would choose a different path.

@@necrowolf77 Hombre, RE siempre ha tenido un argumento de serie B Ese ha sido uno de sus puntos débiles y a su vez uno de sus puntos fuertes. Me parece interesante el concepto de una isla-colonia, dirigida por un megalómano con puño de hierro, que maneja a los habitantes cómo si fueran sus súbditos. Aparte, experimentan con niños ( concepto que luego rehusaron en RE2 remake).

Rented this game many times from blockbuster back in the day.. loved playing it with my sister and my best childhood friend. It was quite different than 1, 2 & 3 which we played religiously, but we still enjoyed the hell out of this one!

I can't say this is a great game, but it is definitely not horrible. Its been a long time since I actually played this game myself, but I remember thinking it was pretty fun at the time. A first person resident evil on the current systems would become something too much like call of duty zombies or house of the dead minus the on the rails approach. Aside from resident evil 4, the HD remake of Resident Evil 1 for the consoles (other than Gamecube remake) is probably the best action Capcom has made to save the acclaimed title in recent years. What ? Impressive ? Sure it can't be technically as good as the original ones, because it's full 3D, but what is good looking about this game ? There's nothing. Characters are awfully animated, cutscenes are disgusting, 3D models are bad, levels are all empty... On the same time on PS1 you had Metal Gear, Dino Crisis 2, Tekken 3, FFIX... Tons of games. And I don't speak about the rest. I must be one of the few players who played it with the Guncon, and it's absolutely painful, really. Moving with the guncon is just satanic. If this game would not have been labelled Resident Evil, nobody would care about it, there's worse on the same system for sure, but except the name, there's not much to save about it.

Hey I have this game my uncle gave it to me for my birthday long time ago I wish I had PlayStation to play on it and I wish I had Resident Evil 1 2 and 3 I still have an old memory chip card for the PlayStation 1 also works for the PlayStation 2 man I miss playing those games going back to Raccoon City killing zombies and monsters watching your back and try not to be afraid and jumpy when the zombies trying to jump at you and try to eat you man you good old times of the 90s when I was a kid in the 90s hell yeah

También tenía 12 años cuando jugué este juego por primera vez,hace ya muchos años.fue el primer RE que jugué.pero decía biohazard gun survivor ,lo bueno que tenia las voces en ingles y lo malo que los subtítulos estaban en japonés y no entendías una verga

This guy's amazing! He wiped out everything in the game, and didn't use a single health item (heck, I think he got hit about 4 times in the whole game). I played this a long time ago, and it controls horribly. Props to the player.

Okay; I get that everyone is sticking up for this game, but it’s pretty rough. And I’m not saying that’s the game’s fault; this came out the same year as Code Veronica, which clearly had a much higher production budget, and this game was almost definitely a side project instead of a top priority sequel (again, Code Veronica). But at the same time, this game had no quality assurance. No test players, no beta runs, zip. And that’s why it sucks that this game is as bad as it is, because it definitely has potential (Biohazard and Village did something similar 20 years later on a higher budget with more priority and they turned out beautifully). Survivor is almost definitely not getting remade. At least, not before Code Veronica (pls capcom im on my knees bring it back im so desperate), but if it ever does, let’s hope they ditch the tank controls and wonky graphics and give the game a little tlc
