Gangnam Style is satire about the wealthy (and those pretending to be wealthy) in a seoul neighborhood called Gangnam (basically the Beverly Hills of Korea, or any other tony neighborhood in the world). The yellow suit and elevator guys are famous comedians... the red head is Hyuna... and the two "old guys" on the beach playing chess are members of Big Bang (Seungri and Daesung).

The guy in the screaming yellow suit is Yoo Jae-suk, the very prolific and most beloved mc in South Korea. Just think, this was the same year EXO debuted. It really puts Mama into perspective.

Psy started his career in 2000 and was pretty successful domestically in Korea. He topped album charts, won awards and was pretty edgy, at least one of his albums was rated 19+ . Of course this was just a ridiculously big hit worldwide. What i like about him though, apart from his catcy and witty songs, is that everyone just seems to like and reapect him a lot.

Gangnam style is just such a genuinely good song. Most people only know that one part of the chorus but it’s so catchy and clever and I unironically love it. Also psy is great

Psy is a legend. I like him because he is funny. Gangnam style isn't even his best song just the most successful because of KZbin and timing.

It was not his debut btw he already had a good career before but this song had enormous popularity in youtube so it went viral and that's how many people came to know kpop too

I didn't think I'd see the day when "Gangnam Style" would be featured on the channel hahaha but I'm (surprisingly?) happy that you reacted to it. This was definitely my first Kpop song... Cannot believe that this was released the same year as GOT7's JJ Project debut song Bounce was released... Thanks for the reaction! This made me so happy! 💜💙🧡

I would love for you to check out more PSY, his career is over 20years now, he was popular before this song and even more so after in Korea, he has a huge catalogue and many great collaboration songs you'll love 😊 he has other hit MVs/singles similar to this, but most of his music is different, he's very talented.

To answer your question of the red head girl near the end, her name is Hyuna....she is a current solo artist that used to be a member of girl group 4Minute. what your really going to love is that there is another version of this, MV, where Hyuna sings with Psy.
