I love psych. My favorite show ever. But has anyone rewatched and got annoyed at the last few seasons? I miss when shawn would always be right the first time, and the episode was about proving it. Then it turned into he was wrong 3 times until the villain told him, or it was last second solving

The newer episodes were still great becasue of comedy, but it just didnt feel the same and I hope the new movie shows some more detective work while keeping it comedic, like the first few seasons (also thanks for commenting, I'm a big fan)

I feel like that happened because in the beginning Shawn wouldn't receive that much help by the police department. He shows more of his genius when he's challenged in some way or another. Later they did get in a groove and Shawn didn't need to use it - but I agree, early Shawn was the best.

I only recently discovered this show and am up to Season 7 now. It seems to me while Shawn was a super-sleuth early on he wasn't quite as good in the psychic department later, but the shows were much more bold and daring with Shawn and Gus playing more the hero's roles. At first, Lassiter and Ohara would come flying in for the physical stuff and Shawn and Gus would show up in the middle or just after to wrap up the story. Now we see them coming out of burning buildings, Shawn jumping onto moving cars, firing weapons, I think a pretty good story development over time.

I love this show so much, I wish I could watch it for the first time again just so I could get the exact same happiness. I also want to point out the fact that throughout the series Lassie gets gentler man-handing Shawn. If I could have one wish it would be for there to be many more Shassie moments whether it's just them assaulting each other or maybe even them having sweet moments.
