As soon as I heard that loud hum I could have told you something wasn't spinning up. You probably have either a seized fan motor, or a bad starter. Either of these would pop a fuse.

I work maintenance for a restaurant, the rectangular hole you pointed out to be an air intake is wrong. It’s just air rushing in since the motor on the roof is off or not working. Also the red buttons are normally gas shut offs to the kitchen if there was a fire.

I do refrigeration. Worked on many walk in coolers. Those bohn heatcraft evaporators look to be from the 1970s. The cooler probably uses R 22 freon which is quite expensive per pound. What i would do is reclaim the remaining r22, charge system with nitrogen, and try to find any leaks, and repair. Then totally evacuate the system with my vacuum pump, and i then recharge with Bluon TDX 20 which is an R 22 alternative, and way way cheaper per pound than R 22. I charge $25 per pound for the Bluon. Depending on the length of line from the condenser to evap you may need at leadt 5 pounds of TDX 20. It works much better than r22. R22 is going anywhere from $150 to $200 per pound. The walk in freezer uses a different type of freon usually R502 if very old, or R 404A. I have all of these available. Wish me and my girlfriend could come down and help you fix these and everything else. Also you do t want to accidently activate that fire suppression system, if you do you will have one big powderly mess to clean up. I used to work in the restaurant business, and a worker accidently activated the fire suppression system, and we had 2 days worth of mess to clean up. Also the dishwasher that was in your kitchen, may of been a low temp dishwasher, meaning it has no heater, and uses 4 different special chemicals for clean, rinse and sanitizing. A high temp dishwasher usually has a built in 3 phase electric booster heater that heats the water to 180 degrees for sanitizing. You have 160 degrrees for the wash cycle though. Also you may of not heard a breaker trip, could of been one if those motor starting relays you heard clicking. In another video like a month ago i asked you about the electric power meter on this place. Can you please make a video of that meter, show me the primary potential transformers assuming they are mounted on a pole at top. Your meter may be located inside the main power room as well. Would love to see it.

It's probably the smaller hood that tripped since you felt it was a air intake with cold air after the pop. The bigger hood sucked a vacuum causing the hood that tripped to work as intake from outside. That "dishwasher" panel was probably for the smaller hood because that light switch was on there and when you turned the fan on it sounded like only a humming noise and no air movement, so it might as well be that the smaller hood's exhaust fan is jammed causing the motor to pull too much energy trying to get it to spin. The small switch on the dishwasher hood may be for that fan.

The first cooler was a freezer as evidenced by the electric heaters on the coil for defrost. Usually, four times a day, refrigeration will shut off, and a clock will turn on the heating coils to melt any ice.

The 'Emergency Stop' buttons are NOT for triggering the fire suppression systems. The fire suppression systems are, however, tied in with the HVAC system and it's possible there is a link to the emergency stop system so it can shut off machines in the event of fire. The fire suppression system is independent and responds to various sensors in the area and in the HVAC ducting.
@landonstreet16013 күн бұрын
There was another switch that had a green tag on it connected to the fire system. If you pull that, it will dump the tanks and start spraying chemicals from under the hood. The handle is right under the tanks with a green tag hanging on it.

That e stop button should trip a shunt trip breaker and solenoid valve if you have gas to turn off the appliances under the hoods and could turn on the fans. The fire suppression system should also fobthe same thing and dump thebl chemicals. When the exhaust fan is turned on it should also turn on the make up air unit other wise you will put the building under severe negative pressure.

The e stop was likely tied to the ANSUL system. It likely killed the gas supply, electric power to any appliances under the hood system, and make up air, but left the exhaust running to remove any smoke from possible kitchen fire.

Industrial equipment commonly uses NVR power switching. This means that even a momentary loss of power means than the device's power switch, relay or whatever in instantly released and stays that way until manually started. It's a common safety feature. The 'Emergency Stop' buttons are likely driving a relay that momentarily breaks a circuit that provides power to the NVR contactor in each machine, or may cause a main contactor to release cutting all power. Pushing an Emergency Stop will therefore result in the power being cut to all the machines and stopping them until they are individually manually restarted.
