My book, “The Value of Others,” begins and ends with a parable. Many have asked me about the significance of the parable in the epilogue, which relates an episode from the life of Jesus. In applying this parable to sexual relationships, we can understand the importance of using the coin of the realm. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. When men pay women in women's currency, and women pay men in men's currency, relationships are ordered and prosperous. I discuss further in this episode. Your analogy about paying men and women in their respective ‘currencies’ is such a simple yet profound concept! It brings to mind the projection bias, where we project our own wants and needs onto others, assuming they'll reciprocate in the same way. I’ve seen someone close to me wrestle with this-thinking their partner should appreciate what they value, rather than tuning into what their partner actually craved. Your insights help make it clear how vital it is to step outside of our own assumptions and recognize the individuality of the other person

The dating apps are full of women saying they only want a serious relationship and want to "take it slow". They are so oblivious to what men want. It's not even if they don't care. They are too solipsistic & "me me me!" to even realize that in order for them to get what they want in a relationship, they should consider the other person's perspective. A woman saying that she's only looking for a serious relationship after taking it slow is exactly equivalent to a man saying I just want bedroom fun immediately and I don't really care about you as a person.

For the record, the Pharisees were attempting to trap and discredit Jesus. If he had said it was okay to pay taxes, then they would determine that he was putting Ceasar before God. If He had said not to pay taxes, then they would have argued that he was violating the law. It was a catch 22. Jesus, being Jesus, showed them the Way.

The Roman elite hired scholars to write what is known as the Bible. The underlying intent was to control the common people, a component of that was loyalty to Caesar including taxation.

Or... As Joseph Atwill and others have put forward in Caesar's Messiah, the first gospel (Mark's) was written by someone like Josephus on bequest of the Flavians to control and subdue the Jews. That is, the Romans may have created what became Christianity. Hence, "render unto Ceasar", "turn the other cheek" etc are conscious and subconscious acquiesces to Roman rule. The Flavians also saw themselves as the Son of God and wanted to create a divine right for their dynasty to rule.

The way I go about it, I give women 90 percent of everything they want. I look great and I have lots to share. I just don’t give them 100 percent because of 2 reasons: once I trap myself with one woman, I lose access to being able to get more. And 2, women who end up locking down men like me tend to become very ungrateful down the line because they know they have the legal system backing them. I could potentially find myself in a loveless, sexless relationship because I decided to give a woman 100 percent. By keeping my options open, I maintain my position to get more, and I also avoid being taken to the cleaners when I woman inevitably becomes unhappy later on. I’m quite happy and as far as I can tell, the women I love are also happy.

In terms of intimate relationships, bother and women want things from people they are attracted to. Men want connection as well, but from women they are attracted to. Since most men would sleep with most women, this dynamic is not visible at the beginning. It is very visible in long term relationships. If a woman lets herself go, men’s interest leaves the room as well. Exactly the same impacts women whose husbands let themselves go as well.

I believe this is about 50 percent correct, at least from my personal set of preferences. I want both of those coins. In other words, i want my girlfriend to be a good friend who wants to share random moments, jokes, intimate connection, etc... maybe not my best friend in the world, but a good friend... because expecting a woman to totally get me like my best friend is probably expecting too much. And clearly, as a man, i want the sexual chemistry to be through the roof, including attraction from my partner to be strong enough that they voluntarily send nudes, or flirt, wear the new lingerie, etc. The main problem for me is that women tend to be flirty in the beginning of a relationship, but eventually fall off the habit, partiallt because they feel as though they shouldnt have to. And when that happens, is when i tend to stop wanting to share on the friendship level, because the reciprocation balance is off.

Just as a woman’s perceived value in the dating market may decline with time, the same applies to men. For example, a 20-year-old woman might be delighted when a 20-year-old man buys her a simple cup of coffee and sends a few thoughtful texts. However, when a 65-year-old man tries to win the attention of the same 20-year-old, he would likely need to invest significantly more effort to impress her. As we age, what is considered valuable or attractive often shifts, making reciprocity more complex.

@@sammakwela 1. dont get married. 2. if you want to take the risk of having kids try to sick to only having 1 kid to reduce future child support payments and custody battles. and 3. vet your girlfriend very carefully for at least 3 years before having kids. make sure she in not an Angry, Bossy, Combative, Disagreeable and Emotional (ABCDE) woman. if she is ABCDE run, it will never last and there will be a huge custody battle in the future. your girlfriend MUST be mentally and emotionally stable.

The currency women SAY they want is NOT the currency they actually accept. eg "I want a nice man who knows how to treat a lady" ends up with a drug dealer boyfriend who slaps and kicks
