Karlov manor lazav is one of my faves

it has potential but i dont think it's the best commander for dimir in DC. Ertai is another good commander but a totally different deck.

@@duelcommanderph I see, I really like lazav from karlov and play him in edh. But now I will make a cEDH build. I dont like playing the meta decks its boring seeing the same 5 commanders in DC...

@@duelcommanderph I am a dimir player and I just start to play dEDH, Lazav has been one of my favorite characters in MTG since Ravnica. Is he a commander worth recommending, I mean for the newbie in this formats?

@@SebastianMorath lazav is an ok commander in DC. His ability to deal with the graveyard comes in handy vs gy decks like aminatou and slimefoot and squee. Unfortunately, his stats are a bit small and can easily be dealt with by most aggro decks. For dimir, the more popular and strong commanders are ertai (tempo/control) and kairi+hidetsugu (combo) :)

@@duelcommanderph Thank you so much for your response! I’m quite familiar with Ertai (as I really enjoy blue-black control in both Pioneer and Standard); as for Hidetsugu & Kairi, I’ve had the chance to try them out in the Brawl mode on MTGA, and they’re fantastic. Paired with some control spells, you can use powerful reanimation spells to defeat opponents by the fifth turn. For me, as long as it’s a Dimir-coloured deck, I’m always keen to give it a go. After considering your suggestions, I think using Ertai as my first commander in dC might be the better fit.😁
