Excellent explanation. Really remarkable. I hope you can learn more about the behaviours, emotions, responses, and consciousness of humans through the lens of neuroscience. The last one studies consciousness, which is the holy grail of human wisdom. Your name suggests that you have some roots in India, if I am not mistaken. Obviously, you will be very familiar with the "Paatanjala Yoga Sutras." Being a psychiatry person who has a lot of interest in exploring and explaining things through neuroscientific insights, why don't you try to make some eye-opening explorations of those sutras in the light of neuroscience!.? Please consider it a request from a person who likes to explore new horizons of knowledge.

Thanks for the reply. I watched the video that you suggested. Frequent appreciation is not a good way to talk. Stil I can't appreciate how you have interpolated the idea of "ikigai"! Please give me some time to think about how we can prepare a road map to bridge the two thought processes, i.e., modern neuroscience and our ancient thought processes. Whenever I tried to make some sensible interaction, I often found a lack of good language or a good platform from which both thought processes could absorb other ideas and make a good interpretation of their own language. In this situation, I feel we need to define or redefine the terminology. This is the toughest part. @@PsychiatrySimplified a quick question- What do you think about the involvement of "hypo-neuroplasticity" of 5HT, NE and DA in VMPFC, DLPFC, and Insula-amygdala pathways in depression? Thanks in advance.

Nice suggestion. Thanks.

Yes!! I've wondered if racism could/would ever be entered into the DSM as a MH disorder. There is a whole list of psychotic features; delusions, obbsessions, thoughts of grandeur, uncontrollable/misplaced rage, etc.
