The first time I ever watched PSYCHO my father kept jumping at me and saying Boo!trying to scare me thereby thoroughly ruining my first experience with this remarkable film...something I NEVER forgave him for. Excellent trailer by the way.

My mum took me to the cinema to see this when I was about 8 or 9! I've always loved scary movies so she knew that I wasn't gonna have problems with it, but in the next couple of months she would freak out everytime I took the shower coz it was wet all over the bathroom. I took the shower curtain off coz I was afraid someone is behind!

Some people are so close minded as Hitchcock was one of the best and they miss out just because they don't watch "old" movies. That is when a movie was based on plot twists and acting. Not special effects to sell the show.I know how you feel, my husband is the same way. Missing out on all the wonderful classics

Psycho is an absolute masterpiece - pure film, pure cinema - when you have seen this movie you realize what real sophisticated cinema means - read Truffauts book "How did you do it, Mr. Hitchcock?"

"IN A WORLD...where good people do bad things...and bad things happen to people...we can all go a little mad sometimes! From Paramount Pictures and master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock comes his most shocking thriller. Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, John Gavin, Martin Balsam, and Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho'".

he killed his mother because he was jealous when she got a boyfriend. He believed that she was alive, in the back of his head, to the point where he dressed up like her and acted as her voice and movements. But on top of this, he kept the corpse. This drove the mother part of his mind insane and ended up killing everyone. phew... lots of words

Hitchcock making Bates into a young attractive man was a genius move that improved upon the original book. In this form no one suspects Norman Bates of anything. He's just you're average Joe. Making him a fat short creepy dude would just be a dumb stereotype.
