@@HiddenTrueCrime yes I wondered this right when I heard about Tylee being sick all the time. Pancreatitis that could never be explained. Seems suspect. Plus Lori likes to talk about her many hospital visits by Tylee side and how it effected her not Tylee. @@HiddenTrueCrime I'm a retired registered nurse. I am positively sure my brother's wife has munchausen's syndrome and is the reason my 4 yr old niece died. No one believed me as I insisted something wasn't quite right as my niece suffered illness after illness and multiple complications from a "rare" unknown illness. In later years, my brother's son married and had a baby boy who has suffered from a "rare" form of cancer. Thanks to Almighty God this child has survived despite being kept by his wicked grandmother at times. He's now 4 years old.. if you are one that prays for people you don't know, please do so for this little boy please 🌷 ( She took over care for her elderly father two years ago.. he died of "natural causes" within six months. Lauren and Dr John, thank you for this episode. There is one thing I would like to mention that I consider important. As an Eastern Orthodox woman , the concept of Jesus and the fallen angel lucifer is not that simple. In fact the teaching of Jesus in the New Testament as I have studied may appear simple, but by no means is. If you dig deep into the word of God , as I study from the original which is in ancient Greek , you find some complex and great insights. Obviously Lori is simple therefore her interpretation of anything is basic and raw. Jesus did not visit her ,for sure. Now lucifer may have done do, since she did his work.

JJ “had” to be killed because Tylee was no longer there to take care of him. To Lori’s evil and self-justifying mind, that’s the same as: Tylee basically killed JJ and herself through her bratty actions of rebellion to “get back at” her mother. This ⬆️ There is so much about what’s happened that’s sick but her talking about “her grandchildren” and “you can’t change that “ was very disturbing to me. It made me feel like I wanted to protect them from her myself. It felt like an attack on their innocence and on their dad’s ability to protect them from her.

Gosh what if she always had this level of hatred towards Tylee because she was a child of her ex husband Joe who she really hated. Lori made her sick and emotionally tortured her though out tylees life. I do wonder if Lori had made Tylee sick to make herself look like she was great caring mother to garner attention. But she couldn’t care less about Tylee and telling her she was molested by her father was also a form of emotional abuse. When Lori hates she doesn’t let go.

As a daughter of an NPD mother (actually diagnosed), I've learned that NPD mothers project their insecurities onto their daughter(s) and punish their daughters for imagined slights against mom. It's a very twisted dynamic, but NPD moms see their daughters as things, extensions of themselves, not people. Lori knows murder is wrong to society, but she doesn't see it as wrong to blame Tylee for her actions because Tylee is her thing to do with as she pleases.

She mentioned something about a preschool teacher or care giver at the time, giving Tylee essential oils to DRINK because her stomach bothered her. I believe it could be that LORI gave her daughter essential oils in her food and beverages which made her sick, drugs which were not prescribed to Tylee for her own conditions, etc. I believe she did regularly drug Tylee, JJ and Charles. I agree w/ much of what you’re saying. I don’t believe she loves Colby in any true sense of the word. Her children like all people in her malignant self-absorbed narcissistic universe are “objects” to be used to her benefit. When someone is no longer useful or she tires of them or is simply seeking new narcissistic supply they are discarded. I believe Colby was sadly & likely manipulated as a young boy, his memories influenced by false & malicious narratives created by Lori to target & discard Colby’s father Joe. Her only interest imo in Colby at this point is to use him by hopefully recruiting him to be a Lori flying monkey. The best thing Colby can do imo is move on & get some high quality deep psychological help & go “no contact” w/ Lori.

Love, love, love to Colby. He’s experiencing such an extreme example of what Dr John described as adults realizing that the environments they grew up in/parents they grew up with weren’t ok/normal. That statement really touched me b/c I felt understood. Nobody is all good or all bad, and as kids we only see the good (unless it’s obviously terribly bad). Actually, after typing that I realized that I would describe my own childhood as terribly bad now that I have my own kids - but as a kid I was thinking that although we didn’t have much, I had plenty of food to eat, friends at school, hobbies I enjoyed - all of my physical needs were met. It’s SO jarring when as adults we realize that our “good” parents were only doing “good” things for us for their own benefit. Kids don’t have the life experience to notice all the things parents should be doing for their benefit that they aren’t doing, or notice how they gain acceptance/praise/status from their peers which could be a motivating factor instead of love. Kids often fail to realize that abuse of any kind eclipses all of that “good.” I know I did, and continue to wrestle with what my responsibility is to my parents when they both hurt me terribly but also technically made me who I am. It’s difficult to come to terms with this on any scale. My deepest respect to Colby for doing what he needed to do in order to gain the understanding of what is really going on between himself and his mom. I’m sure as a dad his hair must be on fire just thinking about treating his own kids the way he and his siblings were thought of & treated. I am encouraged by Colby’s love, strength, and endurance in this trial. May God give him peace somehow, and I pray that the sweet family he is building with his wife will flourish in all respects.
