Wow! What a detailed and crisp account of Karna’s actual character and deeds. It’s a shame how we are taken for a ride by the TV channels and so called modern day scholars. Thank you very much Govind Prabhu for sharing this wonderful treasure house of knowledge and wisdom with us. YS

At 1:16:24, narration is from Vidur Niti and its Vidur who has explained this to Dhitrastra that Pandavs are like lions of the Kurukshetra and there will be no jungle without lions.

A small comparison: Arjuna had learnt Brahmastra from Drona. Many years later, Indra told him he could come to Indraloka for other Divyastras only if he managed to first please Shiva and get Pashupatastra. Arjuna did lonely 'tapasya' in a forest to achieve all that....and succeeded..... Now there was a famous Guru Parashurama who was dead against Kshatriyas and taught only Brahmins (he had taught Devavrata since he had been a 'Vasu' before his incarnation on earth). To learn divyastras, Karna lied to him and said he was a Brahmin....and got cursed in the end as Parashurama realised Karna was a Kshatriya (he was not cursed for being a Suta, which was a mixed caste of Brahmin mother and kshatriya father ). Could Karna not have learnt Divyastras the way Arjun did ie by tapasya to Shiva or any God? He tried to take the shortcut by lying...and got cursed.

Karna is d only person in Mahabharat who could launch bharamastra without any launcher...and even after curse he recalled it but don't used it...

In His DigvijayiYatra He Had Defeated The Kings Who Were Defeated By The Pandavas Earlier So It Mean He Defeated Thise Who Were Already Not Very Capable To Fight
@varghesegeorge31902 жыл бұрын
It is true that he is the only warrior in Mahabharata who defeated 4 Pandavas singlehandedly and give tuff fight to even arjuna.if Krishna were not interfere nagatra will end arjuna.so he is very powerful character in Mahabharata.not even bheeshma drona capture yudhistira in battle evening they supported by a large force but karna did it in his last day of life after defeating many warriers including bhima and sathyaki .he singlehandedly defeat 3 Pandavas altogether.so never degrade such a great warrior
@balaramkrishna3818 Жыл бұрын
@@varghesegeorge3190 Its not about degrading its facts. Arjuna single handedly defeated karna 3 times 1 at the time of draupati swayamvara, 2nd time is at the time of vanavasa, 3rd is at the time of Virata war ( arjun single handedly defeated the whole kaurava army). What you see in serials is not mahabharat it is just entertainment. If you want to learn mahabharat Read Vyasa mahabharat

So nice. Karna was an ego-driven character. He would do heroic things for glory, name, fame...but if his ego got hurt (for example, not being able to marry Draupadi) , he would not hesitate to actively participate in disrobing a woman in public to get even. He was already the king of Anga, his main aim was to prove to the world he was the greatest warrior in the world by killing Arjuna. Such characters do not listen to the voice of God (Krishna)....and fail to see the larger picture and the greater good.

@@davindanger4802 my dear you need to understand the definition of scriptures first before making conclusion of me not going through the scriptures.....Rashmirathi is just a poem written by a great poet which is against authentic Mahabharata facts. According to authentic Mahabharata, Karna is nowhere close to Arjuna atleast as a warrior and this is accepted by Shri Krishna also but unfortunately it's not given in fictional versions of Mahabharata like TV serials, movies, novels and poems but the authenticity clearly says that Arjuna is superior to Karna
