I had no idea that Max was saying all of these things and actually thought that way. I knew he thought he won the second fight, but the fact that he didn't watch any of the recent Volk performances is baffling. There was no way he would have won if he tried the exact same strategy as last time. I was hoping Max would break the Hawaiian/BJ Penn curse with losing to the same fighter 3 times...but he couldn't. This is rough.

This is actually makes so much sense I’m a huge max fan and was really confused how he got so dominated but volk countering the counter sums it up volk adjusted and was ready for max while max felt he had already beat volk I seen I think the weasle say he was confused why max looked so slow but you summed it up perfectly volk was literally countering his counters and new where max was gonna be while max was fighting like it was round 6 of the second fight great video

Great video! I think Volk also vastly improved his boxing. Also I felt Alex was slightly off in the close range in the second fight. He was blitzing all right, but it felt like he shortened his combinations for some unknown reason (unless you think you got the reason behind it).

I first started watching mma in 2021, when ortega was about to fight volk, and like the whole world was cheering for ortega and trying to down volk by any means, he even got booed after he won, back then i didn't knew what happened until i say his history with max, everyone was saying that max was the true champ and volk is a fraud Now, volk is beloved by everyone, and max while still beloved, a lot believes that he's done and should move up because he'll never beat volk How things can quickly change in mma is truly a marvel Anything can change in a matter of a year or so

Holy shit.... if Volk failed to retain the belt in the 2nd fight with Max winning, Volk would've just used KAIZEN to get the belt back and the 3rd fight would still be what it is. Despite losing Max still felt like he won, so he decided to not improve. So even if Max did win, Volkanovski would've won the trilogy either way! Damn!!!!
