+tracy caroline Good day. It usually all depends on how violent an individual is. I know a thing or two about psychology and sociology. I actually viewed the entire first half of this episode and in this case we already have a dangerous individual. Only way she won't be in the news in the future is if she gets put in an asylum or if she takes her own life. Which this is still just a child so it would be tragic for the parents. It is unfortunate that Dr. Phil never followed up on this case. I really would like an update.

TheMilkyWayCitizen--Thank you for the kind words. Many well-educated people who comment on KZbin are chased off this medium due to the masses who are under-aged, foul-mouthed, rude, ill-educated, drunk/drugged, or paid for sycophants whose job it is to run off anyone who might raise an opposing view or opinion. I refuse to be brow-beaten by them. One need only read the comment by (tashwondeee xo to see how rampant such behavior is. Good manners, apparently, re no longer taught in the home and certainly not taught in public school.
@human96686 жыл бұрын
I agree with you partly, tho in my opinion behavior shouldn't be taught generally as such. It would rip of the little freedom we have, if we would be brainwashed by schools to speak only the words in the way that is "appropriate".
@onemercilessming13426 жыл бұрын
Jesus Lied--I beg to differ. Good manners SHOULD be reinforced by teachers in school. In fact, they are. Teachers host parties in their classroom. It was a rude shock to me when I began teaching in an inner city ghetto/barrio school to find that the children didn't have a basic knowledge of saying "please", "thank you", "you're welcome". They did not know how to wait their turn. When we had classroom parties, good manners had to be taught in using a napkin, and sharing equally the treats that were available. I would NEVER conscion imposing my personal moral compass on a child (even in teaching one should lead by example), but group morality (how to behave in a public setting) is NOT imposing one's morals. Now, having said that, I can assure you that, in our public schools today, "appropriate" thoughts ARE imposed upon children daily. I retired when I just could not tolerate the political correctness any longer.

She seems very intelligent. Being manipulative if different then fully understanding you issues. She wants help treating her like an animal will not achieve anything but more pain. Nobody bothered to read up on the actual background behind this story? This is the result of a traumatic brain injury she suffered when she was very young. Huffington Post: "According to Melanie, they first noticed a change in Aneska’s behavior after they say she fell off of her tricycle when she was 3 years old, landing on her face. 'She had chipped a tooth, her face was swollen and she was bleeding,' Melanie says. 'Aneska was taken to the hospital, and she had a quick examination by a doctor, and we were told to take her home. About a week later, we noticed a change in Aneska’s personality.' 'It was like somebody had flipped a switch,' her father adds. 'Aneska was a totally different child.'" All of you referring to this child as a "psychopath" should be ashamed of yourselves. This is a brain injury and a neurological problem, not a character or spiritual flaw. These comments are just awful.
@stvbrsn8 жыл бұрын
Sarah Riedel you make some very good points. But I can't help thinking, what difference does it make if it's caused by injury or if it's congenital, hereditary, or learned? The end result is indistinguishable from psychopathy. It's tragic, and seems like perhaps her amygdala was damaged. I can't see how pharmaceutical intervention is going to help much. Maybe EST? Or do we just label her "broken" and stash her away? Dunno.
@Sarah.Riedel8 жыл бұрын
stvbrsn - I disagree with your statement that this is "indistinguishable" from psychopathy. This is a disorder of organic brain function, not a psychological malady (keeping in mind that psychosis and other related conditions are often hereditary - so she doesn't have any genetic predisposition for psychiatric problems). The issue, which was determined shortly after the Dr. Phil episode, was that her prefrontal cortex is wildly overactivated while the rest of her brain, which would normally be regulating and suppressing those impulses, shows remarkably less activity than normal. That to me is an issue that should be able to be corrected, if not pharmacologically then surgically. As some have said elsewhere, she needs to get in to see the best TBI specialists and neurosurgery team her parents can afford. I cannot emphasize this enough: TREATING THIS LIKE A "VOLUNTARY" OR PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIAL OR PERSONALITY DISORDER WILL END IN DISASTER. There is an enormous spectrum of treatments available to people with TBI these days including deep brain stimulation (often used for intractable epilepsy which is another type of "overactivity" disorder) (disclaimer: I have epilepsy) and other microsurgery techniques which are being developed literally almost daily. She is only what, 12 now? The odds that some successful solution either already exists or will be developed in the next 5 years, before her 18th birthday, is high. But if they put her in a "holding cell" type treatment facility the psychosocial damage will have already been done.
@wulf678 жыл бұрын
What's a voluntary personality disorder?
@Sarah.Riedel8 жыл бұрын
wulf67 - I put it in quotes because it seems that people erroneously assume that behavioral issues are a thing that the kid has some measure of control over and that if she just "learns to deal with her emotions" (as if it were a voluntary thing) everything would be cool, like she COULD if she wanted to. Organic brain disorders are totally out of the patient's control, I doubt she can control these outbursts any more than I can stop myself from having a seizure.
@lisek-this41728 жыл бұрын
Nothing in what you posted stated she was diagnosed with a brain injury. She fell off a tricycle, not out of a tree. The parents are struggling to come up with an excuse for her behavior when in fact some people are born broken.

I actually have viewed the entire first half of this episode online. She is quite the case. She said her future life is to "run the streets" whatever that means. She also definitely is a attention seeker. All she does is lie, manipulate and seems to enjoy hurting others both physically and mentally. Dr. Phil never followed up on this story. Maybe 8-14 Years from now he will feel like absolute trash when she has been accused of multiple murders. And yes her siblings are terrified of her. Her parents though (especially the mom) honestly looks sketchy. They acted if they were perfect and All of this is on their daughter. I think (this is just an educated guess based on what I saw) that she has been spoiled and the brain injury she suffered at 3 years old forever changed her. Her parents are weak and frightened of her. She is likely a sociopath with psychopathic traits. She is also very violent with anyone. May God help us all! :(

TatuBabeforeva yes. she does what she does because she has been allowed to. shit, my brothers had bad tempers. but none of us was stupid enough to try what this little girl does because that man that came home everyday from work and sat down in his recliner would beat our ass. when I was young, you weren't just going to do what you were told. you were going to act like you liked it. or get your ass whipped. and none of us grew up to be women beaters or thugs in and out of jail. but we did learn from a young age that there were repercussions for our actions.
@bbjj28676 жыл бұрын
gone it is clear that this girl knows right from wrong. she clearly knows what she is doing is wrong. no, I have to respectfully disagree with you. this girl acts up because she has been allowed to. some act up worse than others due to everyone having different personalities. but a couple of ass whipping would not have hurt this girl. I'm willing to bet you if she was placed somewhere, where they did not allow this behavior. she would not act like this. oh she might in the beginning. but I once she saw it did not work. and found out there are repercussions for her actions. I believe you would see a different child.

She's too young. Schizophrenia doesn't come out until later. She's being abused. I was like that to a lesser extent when my Dad was going crazy. He really did have Schizophrenia (or something). There is something really wrong going on in her life. It was when i was 6-8. I'm 45 now and never been in any trouble.

I don't know where you're from but we sure do in my area. Ancora State Hospital, NJ; Trenton State Psychiatric Hospital, NJ, Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, NJ; Norristown State Hospital, PA... all within 2 hours of me. Sometimes they remove the term "state hospital", much like they removed the term "lunatic asylum" decades ago, but they are still state-funded psychiatric hospitals.

I'm from Missouri and we don't have any state hospitals. And the ones we do have release people after like 4 days because of funding problems.

Fulton State Hospital, Saint Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital... all state run psych hospitals in MO. You actually have more state-run facilities out there than we do, which is surprising considering the population difference.

It sounds more like a case of possession. Even psychopaths have a sense of preservation. At 2:26 she explains her suicide attempt and says she "didn't even know that was happening". I'm not religious, but cases like this really make if think that things like possession or still carrying the spirit of a former life could possibly be real.

"It was like somebody was in control of myself", this type of language is commonly used by people who are suffering from schizophrenia (like saying they hear "voices", etc.). I feel like this little girl was either abused or is suffering from one of many mental illnesses. Either way, she needs help. This show is disgusting. They're blaming a little girl and calling her a "psychopath" without a true diagnosis. She needs love and understanding because who knows what's going on in her home life!!

Rachel 24 it’s not beating. Just a spanking. Parents need to get back in control of their little monsters again that they created in the first place. Teach respect, self control, patience and saying please and thank you. Where did the days go when your parents gave you that one look 👀 and you knew that you had better stop or else there would be consequences. And as a child we knew that you are about to cross the line and Mom and Dad aren’t playing. Kids these days also need to be taught cause and effect, consequence of ones actions and take responsibility!!! I agree that she needs medical help but also she needs to learn other things as well. Parents allow kids to rule them these days and that is ass backwards.
@funnymoney23217 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Lujan did you know that psychopaths like this child don’t have any kind of empathy? They wouldn’t care if they “crossed the line”. Doesn’t matter if you give her a spanking. She’ll still be the same

She is schizophrenic with signs of sociopathy which is typical for a schizophrenic. My uncle is schizophrenic and terrorized people and his own children most of his life until he went to jail and sought medication and counselling in his 40's. I also dated someone who was schizophrenic who would snap like this. He also got medication and therapy and changed significantly. One thing they both had in common was that they were sexual molested and my uncle was physically abused. Mental illness including sociopathy, like the tv show character Dexter, are genetic and can be helped but must be addressed, accepted by the victim, and treated. Mentally ill people are not demon possessed. That is an unfortunate and ignorant misconception of the church.

If we aren't in the dark ages perhaps you can pick up a dictionary and speak more eloquently, or are you just another one who doesn't believe in a god at all and believes we are here purely due to science. Even if you do believe we are here only because science then maybe your language should reflect your appreciation for existing at all considering our planet is a one in nearly seven quintillion of a chance of existing and of all the sperm yours was chosen. We are all just as special if not more than you bashing religions and beliefs, Susie didn't say anything to offend a religion but you have no better use for your time than to bring shame to your family name.

This is what happens when you don't have control over your kids, they run you, I never had to abuse my 2 children but, I had to teach them who is the boss and also teach them the right way of life... Parents if you don't take full control and responsibility of your children young lives... This is the results you're going to get back... I could save this girl's life and change her mind and thoughts, it's a process but, I can really make it work... As long as they are still kids, because a full grown adult will already have their own minds... Harder to change that but, still not impossible to try... The key is to unlock something they like and go from there... Sometimes it takes a complete stranger to make your kids listen and get the full Attention and understanding... I would love to have a job with corrupted children like this, I wish I could help save them all... I've helped children and adults have a change in heart a few times before... We all are humans but, we all don't think the same, even your kids and families have different opinions and minds... That's why a complete stranger can sometimes talk to your family better than you can, no matter what color or race you are... The Right words will break down the wickedest beast...

I should not have watched this particular episode. This fills me with terror. My 14 year old brother is in the same situation. He also is in a therapeutic residence/boarding school. I couldn't sleep at night either. He's threatened to kill me and my family and has physically/sexually abused me and others. I'm not the kind of person to believe in solitary confinement or capital punishment but once this kid is grown up I hope she's in jail for life or sentenced to death because psychopaths like this are absolutely awful. PTSD is the worst part of being abused by someone like this, it feels like the terror will never end. No one deserves to suffer from PTSD and trauma because of demon children like this one. These parents and the other kids are so brave and I hope they are able to find healing and happiness after she is dealt with.

this is clearly a child that has been let go her entire life by her parents. people would probably be surprised at the amount of children that are just like her today. she throws fits and acts out because it is allowed. she clearly has no respect for her parents because they like most parents today are to worried about colliding their children rather than teach them. you are not raising children. the end product is a adult. you know why none of my siblings never acted like this. it's simple. we knew what daddy would do when he found out. he would wear our ass out. fear is not a bad thing. evolutionarily it benefits us. it keeps us from doing things we should not do. keeps us from doing things that could cause us harm.
