I really don't see how in making choices such as what to eat for lunch or where to go can be termed as "manipulation" unless you are hell bent that whomever you're with eat a thing you think is delicious or healthy.....I prefer any interactions as being a give and take and I don't assume someone is manipulating me by suggesting food unless it's something radically unhealthy and they know I am dieting. My brother is a narc/socio and he literally doesn't give 0 fks about absolutely anything I like or prefer; he's just thinking about himself. I don't feel manipulated by that I just feel unheard. I'm cluster b myself, and in my mind I am an adult. No matter what choices I make or I agree to with others are always within the realm of my own agency. Nobody makes me do anything as I am only responsible for me. Omg ME I totally get you! It's like you've been totally dissocciated from yourself and humanity and you have been integrating back little by little. ❤

Even people with normal personalities have strengths and weaknesses. Every person with psychopathy is an individual and unique, and some psychopaths will have remarkable strengths and talents. A lot of psychopaths, however, are effectively disabled and will tend to have a lot of trouble with relationships and jobs. As a society, we should take all personality disorders seriously, especially in the "low functioning" spectrum, since these are people who are as vulnerable as they are (potentially) dangerous.

@@blydnhvghn - Maybe it's better that psychology doesn't have much to offer people w personality disorders. They can barely understand common things like depression and mania. After years struggling w my own issues, I do wonder if the parts of us that psychology says are "missing" are really just depressed parts of our mind: Depressed, or even deadened, which is worse than depressed. I don't think it's easy or obvious, but I do think there are ways to awaken deadened parts of us, but unfortunately we each have to explore that on our own. But I do believe that deadened parts of the mind or nervous system can be awakened, since I do think "deadening" is an active state. It's not like the nerves are dead, so it's more like a "deadened state."

This may be wrong but bedbugs are known to elicit very different reactions from people, some reacting very strongly while others not at all. It might be something else of course but if bedbugs turn out to be the issue just know that they dont carry any human infectious disease and that there are steps to reduce or completely eliminate their presence from your home. One of the most informative resources for getting a 30.000ft view on the topic and in particular how to deal with these little fellas is Mark Rober's video on the topic right here on YT. This was an awsome debate! The Phd Psych Candidate is really smart, professional, avoid talking about herself and both two are fighting for control! She seems yes very hsp with mild bpd ( her anger and muscle between the eye brow, moving too much the heard, switching emotions in a very short term, the goat mouth pulling and lifting the uper mouth muscle, the strict facelook when trying to focus, several of her emotions show up quickly, deeper but don't last 3 seconds! ME Thomas seems very smart, logical, passive active attaquer and incredible mind reader! She'a already aware of The Phd Cand low coktail of bpd behavior and used several times " people pleaser" insted of bpd and look at the reaction of the Phd Cand when ME Thomas first mentioned " people pleaser"! . Both two are still great at verbal passive aggressive behaviors but the Psychologist still did better in terms of taking control, by talking less, less about herself, making ME look like the client and herself the therapist. The listener vs the talker, the psychoanalyst vs the patient! but Truly the psych girl is hsp with a very low level bpd: anger and feeling some emotions a litle bit deeper but not as BPD:a trait that true empaths, BPD, VULNERABLE NARCISSISM, paranoiac and mood disorders ( Bipolar) share in common most of the time but does not necessarly mean all those disorders are the same!

I always enjoy listening to M.E but this other lady never seems to say anything. It was fun watching M.E try to pin her down to answer the “where to go to lunch” question, but we couldn’t get any sort of solid answer about ANYTHING. The entire interview. She really seems lovely but I consider “hsp” and “empath” to be definite red flags. It generally signifies someone who is quiet borderline or vulnerable narcissist or something along those lines. I’m not intending to be rude, just wondering what others thought. (Obviously I know not all “hsp’s” and “empaths” fill that mold but these categories have sort of been hijacked by those who wish to be highly thought of in a new-age sort of way.) I was impressed by M.E’s patience and long suffering. That being said M.E was very interesting in this interview and this girl got more out of her than many of her other guests. So that’s a success.

57:00 Personality... the amygdala is know for being the center of fear / emotional response and for some reason I think it's directly correlated to the concept of self (as the amygdala somehow react to protect or gratify the Self). Psychos amygdala usually is less reactive/responsive which lead to a general sense of numbness, emptiness often leading them to do "dangerous"/extreme things in order to feel something / to feel alive.... I personally thing that this nambness of the amygdala can be an adaptation to a stressful environment during childhood; A way for the body to compensate and find balance / sometime detach the self from a situation in which the self is suffering / under-attack. There are so many functions of the amygdala that are directly correlated to the behaviors of psychopaths, like capacity to stay cool under pressure or perform in extreme situations... Anyway, to cut it short, did you ever considered the correlation between an unresponsive amygdala lack of capacity to experience emotions lack of capacity to experience the self (how you know you have a self if you can't feel it) lack of capacity to recognize other people Self Sociopathy.

How ducks would qualify eagles? Fair, friendly, empathetic, gregarious... NOT AT ALL ! So who's right? ducks or eagles? I'm nor a psychologist (even if I did study psychology) nor a psychopath, but I do have a fascination for human nature and I do believe that (functional) psychopaths are much bette functioning humans (in certain areas) but this came at a cost (for others areas)... the same as some autistics people can create great art-works and yet be unable to have a simple conversation. What we know, we average humans (with enough social skills, compassion or brain power to be Good Average Humans) of what is to be at the Top of the Food-Chain? What we know? How ducks will ever understand what is to be an eagle ? and does the opinion of a ducks really should and could affect the eagle life? There's sooo much we don't know in our limited experience of what we call life.

Repeating thank you to yourself helps you come from manipulation less and more from inspiration. But you can literally use any other word as a tool that works for you. Its basically mantras that will bring you back to zero. So that anything can happen, Not just the preprogrammed habit. You can also just Like your manipulation (and like other people's manipulations.... choose to like as many things as possible) because that also helps, I prefer that but to each their own. I think the best way to decide where to go for lunch is to listen to your inner child and do what it wants. And then hope that the other person wants that too.

Hi there! Thanks for these videos, they are great! They have been valuable in shaping a character I'm developing for a screenplay-a queen exhibiting psychopathic tendencies. I would appreciate your input as I describe the character and explore ways to enhance their portrayal. Initially, the character possessed a tendency to become easily bored, constantly seeking stimulation through various means. They derived pleasure from asserting dominance over others and were particularly fascinated by overcoming challenges that most people find daunting. Additionally, they viewed displays of affection from others, without a justifiable reason, as a sign of weakness. To combat their boredom, they resorted to engaging in s*xual encounters. However, upon watching your videos, I believe this characterization lacks depth and fails to capture the essence of this personality disorder. Inspired by your videos, I aim to introduce some additional elements to make the character more three-dimensional. For instance, I would like to emphasize openness to new ideas and perspectives, just like you. It is essential, though, that they do not possess introspective qualities, as self-reflection may lead to behavioral changes. Ultimately, my goal is to create a character who not only exhibits psychopathic tendencies but also possesses a compelling and multi-dimensional personality. Your expertise and insights would be invaluable! So that’s the background, here are specific questions: 1. Are there any other behaviors or traits that are not associated with psychopathy that I should consider incorporating into the character that wouldn’t contradict the personality disorder? (I mentioned openness for example) 2. You have talked to lots of people with psychopathy, what are the things you always expect but also what are the stories and experiences you are most interested in hearing from others that always seem to give an interesting answer. 3. If you were assigned to determine whether someone was simply pretending to be a psychopath, what indicators or signs would you investigate to uncover the truth?
