I broke my phone in the beginning of quarantine and didn’t get a new one until a year later. It was really hard in the beginning but I absolutely loved it. I realized I would reach for my phone when I was bored instead of doing something creative or beneficial or taking care of myself. Now I never take my phone out when I’m with friends. I don’t immediately want to post everything. My personal life is personal again and I adore it.

As an orthodox Jew, we have this every week for sabbath. I have grown up with a built-in rest day from social media (and electronics in general). I feel so lucky to have days like this in my week where I can just unwind and focus on the smaller things, like family, or even just sitting down to read a book. I'm so glad that you were able to experience that and find time to be more productive! I always find it so interesting to see people doing this and finding out what else there is to do in day-to-day life!

Super out of the blue, but I really appreciate your content and just wanted to say that you have such a beautiful family. I love the way your son’s face lights up with giggles when you and your husband are playing with him, or that unspoken understanding and sense of comfort and contentment that underlies the the way you and your husband look at each other. I know relationships are complex and we don’t see the full day in and day out, but I love seeing people love each other- fully, genuinely, unconditionally- and from what I can see, those special moments really shine through in your videos. Another thing- super out of the blue- my grandfather was a professor and listening to old recordings of his lectures is one of my all time favorite things to do. I know KZbin is your job, but it's also such an amazing gift to your son- he'll be able to look back on these and see his earliest and happiest memories immortalized in your content- it's such a special thing. I have been off social media for 2 months, I think it has helped me mentally in so many ways. A lot of what would come on my feed was peoples "highlight reel" which would in turn make me feel bad about myself. It was getting pretty toxic for me, but now that I'm done with it all I don't feel like I'm missing it at all and Im not consumed with what someone else is doing, Im just focusing on me and my family.
