There's a good chance you know someone with this fear. They'll drive hours out of their way just to avoid going over a bridge. Not only is bridge phobia common, it's also treatable. While millions of people drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge every year, Debbie Fleegal is not one of them. She hires a service to drive her and her minivan across the 4-mile span, saying her bridge phobia came on out of the blue.
