I just love your reactions, Tom. Your insight is so refreshing. It is awesome to hear this from someone in this profession. I am having such a difficult time lately. Jan. 19th will be 2 years since my 30 year old daughter passed away unexpectedly and I am stuck in this grieving process. I may not totally relate personally to NF's personal life experiences, but he just touches me so much because he is 100% real! I took my 10& 12 year old grandsons to see him in concert this past Sept. it was an incredible experience. I never miss your NF reactions! Keep them up!

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend 2 years ago on Christmas day and those days will never be the same. Some things you just cannot overcome in life. What worked best for me is analyzing the lyrics and emotions artists like NF, Hopsin, etc. are bringing out and most importantly, speak and let it out. Therapy and speaking with friends and family is what got me through the griefing process. I do hope you find your happiness once again as well. Take care and know many people are willing to speak and help 🙏

That alone is a Handful Bless You and Sorry for your loss! 📕🖋📕🖋📕🖋📕🖋📕🖋📕🖋🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😁💯❤💥💥💥🙏🙏🙏🙏

I always understood the “what do you expect from a therapy session” line to be his response to parent complaining about his song and him say that as much as his music is for fans that it’s ultimately therapy for Nate himself so what do parents expect when we are sitting in on his therapy session.

You know your content is so down to earth, so *Real* and so powerful when a psychotherapist gets in on the 'reaction' game. And NF has a VERY distinct capability to bring out emotion, and really hits the music world *so damn hard* That no one forgets. Discovering NF recently was an incredible experience. Because like some of the fans he mentions in this song, I've found a lot of strength through his music.

You are an amazing human! Ty for sharing your insight. The scapegoat comment hit for me. My mom took me to a counselor one time. The counselor essentially told her I was a good kid and she should be proud of me. Lets just say I got it when I got home bc I had manipulated and lied to the counselor, according to my mom. The family took a different approach after that, firmly believing and publicizing that I was demon possessed. As an adult, I took a different path, never forgetting how seen and heard I felt in that counselor's office. I sought professional help. (The family became violent toward me for this choice.) At one point in my therapy, the counselor told me a very hard truth. Short version, I ended up setting 1 boundary, just 1. With that one boundary, the family, with the exception of 1 sibling, essentially stepped out of my life. Weirdest thing... my symptoms have become almost nonexistent or at the very least the severity has significantly reduced after about a year of having no contact. It's felt like a detox of sorts. Therapy is hard. Gosh it's hard, but I will forever be overwhelmingly grateful to the therapists Ive been privileged to work with. I can't imagine how different life would've been without their influence on my life.
