@@brodystevenson3478 I am a catholic and to me NF is the perfect "christian" artist. Too many artists make it feel like they are shoving their religion down your throat and Nate finds a way to include it while still making it able to be digested and understood and even relatable to people who don't have the same beliefs as him. Bro is incredible

Important context for this song: He was marketed as a Christian rapper when Mansion was released and he caught a lot of flack for the dark content from parents, critics, pastors, etc. This song is him clarifying why his songs are the way they are and correcting his image. This was the point where NF really starting to step into his own music.

NF has saved lives. He shows damaged people can grow and change. Just because you are Christian you are not always perfect. So true! He truth speaks to everyone.

I believe there's a lot of people especially teenagers that don't or won't listen to " Christian" music but they listen to NF because they can relate to him and his struggles and not feel so alone. I've read a lot if comments on how it helped them get out if a dark place or even hurt themselves I think that's great!

Thank you for praying for Nate (NF) - He needs all the prayers he can get! He's greatly influenced my own and my (now adult) daughter's lives. After Mansion and Therapy Session, my daughter stopped cutting and got counseling. She is thriving now

Being a counselor who is Christian myself, it refreshing to hear these healthy discussions. Judgement and avoidance of these tough subjects is exactly what drives some to isolate themselves from others who they fear will not understand what they are going through. Look forward to catching up and watching the rest of these videos.

i love the comment you said, that people want to be honest without being punished. They can be honest in the moments they listen to NF music, and that, for some, is the only time they can get a sliver of that feeling. This was neat seeing kind of the crossover between two worlds.

" grace, mercy, love, and a lot of space" Thank you for saying that. Truly, deeply, from me. I am a person who would "need" or deeply desire that "space" addition in a prayer.. I am now going to add on to my prayers for others the space they need. Because honestly, good things come to those who wait. And I am the epitome of patience and waiting around for a "hello," nod, or "thank you." I don't do my deeds for my thanks but if an eventual thank you comes my way, I feel re invigorated to continue on.

What gives the Dark vibe is the soundtrack and the mood of the song. But, yeah, it´s a really honest and transparent song more than anything, NF venting what he is going on and giving the point of his music.

If you watch the music video (not sure if you have already) it gives more context to the words. especially regarding the parents and the masks. Parents often times don't want to address what their children are going through and want people to see the perfect family and that everything is fine (wear a mask).

Ahhh a musician fellow! (When JP mentioned minor, I just knew haha. You speak my language!) I don't think his music is "dark"- it's real/true. I don't see dark. Dark is macabre themes, I think. He's simply a true, honest artist. "Raw" is a word I'd attribute to that album.

NF's music is not dark, it's "uncomfortable", because it causes people to self-examine in ways that they probably typically don't want to. It's why he says "NF REAL MUSIC"...and it's the way it should be.
@BigRaji19814 ай бұрын
Yeah that's what I find the most ironic. You hit it on the head when you said that teens want transparency except now everything is so sugar coated especially from church leaders that people in general are fed up and wanting people like NF being transparent

I was a Christian and became atheist at 8 after being punished at sunday school for asking questions they didn't want to answer or the answer didn't make sense so i asked another question, i genuinely wanted an answer as was confused. They got angry, said i was disruptive and put me outside for 10 minutes. So i walked home 3 miles across the fields and never went back. I used to go talk to God in the village church and i love churches but only when they are empty. I believe in divine energy or source now after learning to channel Reiki. Rei- God or devine Ki- life force It opened me back up to believing and knowing I was loved regardless of my bitter and resentful rejection. I have trust issues, though learnt to trust me via divine guidance now 💜🙏💜 NF spoke my life into words and mine was 30 years before i let any light back in. I listen to hope at least once a week. Bllessings to you and yours. I'm 51 and NF resonates to my core, got all but 1 album and deeply appreciate his raw honesty and bravery to share his life journal. He became the light in the isolated darkness for so many in his darkest lowest time and it must feel such a pressure. Especially when he felt he was not enough. His to mother songs are deeply emotive and night and day in emotion though both are raw and hobest. The change in his voice. The ending of the first is as it happened, i cried so hard and choking again at the memory. I suggest you dual those songs so you are uplifted by the 2nd more healed one. Kind Regards Sue 💜🙏💜 I appreciate your perception and explanation. You appear to have the honesty my sunday school didn't.
