About it being heavy with the instrumental, X talking about music "What's the point of music? It's not always to have fun. Sometimes it's to help people find themselves because music is frequency programming" A song like this can really connect with you even if it's not as heavy with words, but the frequency within the audio.

Anima Vestra translates to “Your Soul”… there’s a lot of theories about this song, when he started music or got recognized it was for his hate and rage literally titling his first official album “Revenge” later down the road he understood the world needs more love and as he changed they say the “Devil” had stopped him from bringing back the positivity.

X utilizes strong biblical references and language throughout this mini-masterpiece. His use of enjambmen is also of note. Crafted to embody his evanescent spirit and dazed psyche, X splits what might otherwise be one line into many-exhibiting his fragmented mental state. The song reflects X’s troubled upbringing, and how pain and sadness have plagued his brief time on this Earth, as shown in the first half. X learns that if he remains true to his selfish/evil side, that he can obtain what he really craves: power and wealth. At the end of the tracks there Anima Vestra is Latin, In English, it means “Your Soul”. It is a part of the latin saying “libera anima vestra” (free your soul).

Very well said. X as a man had a strong duality. He was a very deep guy. Going from his time in juvenile detention and jail to funding his wealth to charity and trying to give more to the public that surrounded him than to himself. Seeing a figure that has walked the paths of both good and evil, and being torn apart by his mind while judged by the public for his past is inspiring to the younger generations. It just makes him a marvel to us. A man that is so utterly unique and rare to see.

The best meaning I can give to this song is that it's X's way of acknowledging his darker tendencies and his desire to succeed no matter the price to himself. Before he became famous he used to do a lot of question and answers on his tumbler and some live stream periscopes. He did talk about selling his soul back then for fame but its been about 6 years and it's hard to remember.

Fun fact the beat on this song is sampled from a EDM track called ichor by the artist Alasen in 2016, its so cool to see how different genres of music can merge i to each other and its so surprising that such a dark empty vibe of a riff is used on an EDM track. Music is so beautiful. RIP X 🙏❤️

As someone that was almost quite literally “saved” by X I can say this was truly one of the first and only songs that genuinely connected with me. As a young kid I never really had someone who expressed themselves the way I felt, I never really had anyone to talk to or lean on. Somehow, someway this song and the rest of his music made me know and made me feel like i’m not alone anymore. He changed a LOT of youths mindset and way of thinking and I think like with anything else, it’s very important we have artists that do so without fear of being “different”. X showed me it’s truly okay to be myself at the end of the day.

Also if you end up seeing this, please listen to “Train Food” It’s one of his most emotional and heartfelt songs, that’s also said to be connected to this song and his “XXL Freestyle”. It’s one of my favorites ever by him and I genuinely believe you’d love dissecting the song.

To me This songs about giving up something you value to get something else in return. But along the way you realize what you ended up with wasn't worth the price you payed to get there. Think about like wasting your time. Alot of biblical references in this song. Its ironic bc X was a preacher of sorts not a religious one but he had a way with words, he was a very inspiring person. musically gifted with His rhythm and ability to create catchy melodies. Even if you didnt like his music, you still talked about it. Ive never seen an artist get so much attention before. So much talent he was gone way too soon. I recommend you listen to "King" next.

hey Tom!! im so happy u got around to this song i know a lot of ppl wanted to see u react to this, btw at the end when he says "anima vestra" anima vestra is latin, and it translates over to, your soul, or the darkness within your soul. right before that the devil who he was talking to in the song said "you will have what you want soon, but what I want is already mine. what i think hes saying in these lyrics is that basically he traded in his "soul" which just translates to gaining popularity, wealth fame all that, and basically for that trade he prolly had to make a lot of hard decisions on the way, included with all of his mental trauma which is his "darkness in his soul" and the devil is just saying once again that he has already got his soul and now, there will be no other way to treat or heal the pain. x said in a lot in his songs that you could not get over traumatic events, and that the pain of those occurences would scar and permanantly damage you, and that realistically you can keep moving on in life but they will alwyas stay and be there with u no matter what which all sounds dark but he had a outlook on things that was very different, and i enjoyed his music a lot, thanks again for reading if u had the time too.

What I got from the song was that X was in search for his soul, his happiness, his purpose. But in his search he came across things like temptations and other things that lead him off his search, and when he came across something that was bad for him but gave him a temporary answer. And when he was ready to pay the price he realized he had the answers all along. Just wasn’t looking in the right places. That’s just me though.

To start the three songs I will speak about are correlated to one another in this order. In the 2017 XXL Cypher, X, balefully raps about what would be his approach to an apocalypse which was deeply callous and indifferent for human life. He claims that "I seen the devil, He's in you and me" meaning he's seen first hand what evil is and how we all have the potential to be and do evil. He continues rapping about how to murder or an anecdote of him murdering someone (it's inconclusive whether or not he was speaking figuratively or literally here). Further, he boldly makes his first claim of his allegiance to the devil publicly "I am a murderer. I am a demon. Son of a Serpent" alluding to the biblical reference of the Snake (devil) in the Garden of Eden. At the end, he makes us question our own faith by asking "have you felt acknowledgment?" (referring to God) and asking "If I kill you now. Will you go to heaven or hell you believe in?" Then in his next song, "I spoke to the devil in Miami, he said everything would be fine" he illustrates his experience (through various biblical references, i.e. Shepard, Wolf, the apple from the Forbidden Tree of Knowledge) how he was lead... but also willingly.... descended into making a covenant with a "baphomet" a.k.a "the devil." The baphomet would "save him" and give him what he desired most, which was a remedy to his depression, obsession, anxiety, confusion, lust, vanity and sadness. Through wealth, power, women and influence. In return, X, would surrender his "anima vestra" to the baphomet which in Latin means "Your Soul" (here he affirms and confesses although reluctantly and regrettably his allegiance to the devil). After X made the deal, he began to realize that through his confusion and fast pace lifestyle that was given to him by the baphomet he was deceived and in reality he was never going to be "saved" even with all the "remedies" the baphomet gave him. At the end of the song, he repeats "anima vestra" several times in a way that shows clear regret, disbelief, and humiliation in his decision with the baphomet. In his final song (I find this one to be the most tragic and eerie of the three) , "Train Food" you hear the sound of a train braking in a busy train station, foot steps and people talking in the back. X, starts by saying he remembers that day (when he made the deal with the devil), The piano then plays in a melancholic and insidious melody. "I remember I had walked home that day. Content with all my misery. Told myself it'd get better, no clue what there was next for me. Remember there was people, walkin', talkin' in the distance. I was dressed for winter weather. But the summer rays were kissing me, I-I was lost." Here he is in clear distress and in doubtful hope that everything would figure itself out and he would be alright. Having no real idea of what he just did. It continues, "So I took a different path. In the distance he awaited me. Had no weapon, I'm guessin' his hands were just enough for me. Was no question, I'm guessin' he laughed just at the sight of me. I was lost." This is where things start to get foul, the ominous person he is referring to here is the same man he made a deal with in Miami, the baphomet. As he took a different path home, the baphomet awaited X and stared at him with devilish ignominy...he is enjoying the fact that X fell for his deception. It continues, And there he was, his presence was alarming. As he approached, was casual, we talked 'bout self-harming. He told me, "Kid, you shouldn't be walkin' on your own". He smiled and laughed, and pat my back. He asked, "How far are you from home?". I said, "Maybe 30 minutes". His frequency distorted quick, I seen it in his image. I should've run right fucking there, a-" The baphomet then approached X in an arrogant and prideful attitude he patronizes X and talks about self harm and how its dangerous to be walking alone and treats him as a naïve foolish kid. As he asked X how far are you from home and he replied 30 mins, it was immediately then the mans demeanor and aura change into something vile and sinister, X, regrets not running that very moment. It is then in the song that X is pushed onto the train tracks his tone changes and he begins to yell in fear and anger fueled by regret. The baphomet revealed his true nature...ungodly and evil and now he is here to collect his part of the deal. The train itself is a representation of death. The final Verse, "You ever woke up on a train track, with no motherfuckin' clothes on? Death before your eyes, you prayin' to God, but ain't no response. Tryna scream for hope, just a shoulder that you can lean on. But ain't nobody comin', so you scream on and scream on and scream on. While this evil fuck laugh at you. Train getting closer, you still surprised that he battered you. Tears falling harder and harder, minutes get minuscule. Could've had a son or a daughter, now what you finna do? You finna die here on this train track. 'Cause clearly after death, ain't no way you can find your way back. Thinking 'bout your previous memories, going way back. All them fucking dreams 'bout a diamond chain and a Maybach. Now your time finally up. Ask yourself this final question, is you going down or up?. Recollectin' all the moments that you never gave a fuck. Now it's here, death has now arrived, time's finally up." As X helplessly and tearfully lies on the train tracks bloody and beaten up, he hears the train coming signifying his impending doom. He looks up to see the baphomet laughing at him. He calls for help to no avail, he calls for God, but he is alone as he made to decision to surrender his allegiance to the baphomet (his new God). He proceeds to regret the decisions he made, how he could've had a son or daughter and reminisces when the times were simpler. He regrets and thinks about whether it was worth giving up his soul for a "diamond chain and a Maybach" ( reference to the "remedies" the baphomet offered him in Miami) and how him not caring (nihilism) lead to his demise. Even in these moments he is still in disbelief that the baphomet deceived and betrayed him. We see the juxtaposition between the first time he questioned his belief in heaven and hell in his naïve arrogance in the first song and now in this song he faces reality and questions whether he is going to heaven or hell knowing the evil he has witnessed. Unfortunately, he doesn't have time to answer his question as "now it's here, death has now arrived, time's finally up." In honor of X, may he rest in peace.

I always felt like the song and reason behind it is that sometimes some people get caught up in life and are on the last strand of the line and in asking for and inviting negativity and bad spirits into your realm of mind sometimes they end up speaking to the devil and he lies and says everything will be ok to deceive you and encourage more negativity into your life and GRATE VIDEO I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU’VE DONE WITH THE XXX COMMUNITY🙏🖤

Would love to see you react to Rod Wave - Tombstone and Joyner Lucas - Ross Capicchioni, there is a story line to both of them so you should react to the official videos. Keep up the great work!

X was an amazing person he had a horrible childhood and stuff he did in the past but changed and wanted to help the youth and helped me through so much LLJ

You should really look into X motivational stuff. The stuff he did for us and started to talk about once he was fully WOKE. He was always a woke person. Not by luck he was such a smart perso since he was so young. Check his lives , his videos , his speeches before he died. He was a walking angel. He woke me up. I love X , i even made a tattoo tributing him. One day i will meet him. I know it.

Is my favorite artist and that what made it so sad to see how lost he was and I wish I could save him and lead him to the gates of heaven but he just became worse and worse until he died and I think what he said in this song was a way of explaining and predicting his death and unfortunately niw his soul will have to burn in hell because he has to pay the price for his sin and I think this song and many others were a way of expressing that he has accepted it even tho you can’t ever fully comprehend something like eternal pain and suffering unless it happens to you and I wish this upon no one so use this as an example to chose the right path the lord loves you and you need to live your earthly life for him so you you can live eternal life in heaven.

This song is basically X’s encounter with the devil, there was many conspiracy theories about XXXTENTACION selling his soul and potentially is the reason he has died at such a young age.

Hey I really think you should react in breaks down the lyrics of bloody Canvas by Polo G. Polo g is a lot like Juice WRLD when it comes to the trauma and drug use. Polo g is a really lyrical person as u can see in your last video. And I think you’ll be really interesting to see you react to bloody canvas by polo g
