It was so whack how they kept forgetting that she was an ultra-powerful telepath... ya know, the kind of people who rarely say "I don't know how you......." or who don't really have to run, as they can make anyone around them think that they're already gone. All of these being things that Psylocke has easily demonstrated in the comics, in both her European and Asian bodies.

Fun fact: Plate number seen at 2:12 is THX 1138, which is the name of the first movie of George Lucas, inspired by the serial number of his first camera! It makes a lot more cameos throughout Star Wars movies, but i have no idea what it is doing here in X-men frenchise.

I never saw this episode. They kept showing Proteous, Phoenix saga, Days Of Future Past, the pilot and Leech. I saw this episode once right up till Psylocke was on the cliff and of course that was the day my one VHS tape ran out. It got to the part with her on the cliff and rewound itself.

The problem with all these appearances is that it doesn't explain the character. In the comics, she was a British woman named Betsy Braddock who could project psionic energy bolts. I'm pretty sure she was a member of one of the X teams. At some point a Japanese assassin was sent to take her life, but the attempt ended in a body swap. And because of some poorly explained side effects, she retained most of the Assassin's skills including martial arts and language. But she kept her British identity. I seem to remember some dialogue from a shitty video game mentioning that her Cornish Hen is amazing. All of these appearances severely undersell her combat prowess. She can project psionic blasts from her hands and forehead. They usually stun or knock out victims. She has a fondness for focusing that same psionic energy as a blade extending the reach of her punches by nearly a foot with the same effects. And then you consider that she has an assassin's training and knowledge of the human body. She should be a super-human handful in a fight. She's also appeared in a few 2D fighting games where she's usually considered a Tier 1 or 1.5 character.
