I can't even predict what could be her worst skin since they are mostly the same-ish....? Guqin, Muse, Silent Night, Pentakill, Pentakill III are all "what if Sona, but in a different music genre setting, era and/or country?" Maybe Muse, for being just so uninteresting, or Sweetheart for being Sona, but with hearts motif...? None of her skins look terrible to me in concept, maybe only bland and/or not original

The machinery around her is called the Geist Unit and I believe she's directly linked to it. When she places wards, she states that she's creating a link between the Geist Unit and the ward. I think it's also how she communicates with people telepathically? I believe it acts as a focus for that immense power of hers.

I count 18 champions between Sona and Rell; two videos per champion plus Sona's worst skin is 37 days. According to the first thing I found on Google, the new Star Guardian skins are probably hitting in either 21 or 41 days, and I imagine Riot will release promo material for the skinline much more than four days ahead of hitting metaphorical stores. Or he could just review the leaks I guess.

I have many of her skins and this is the only skin that does it for me, I wear the green chroma and this absolutely crushes the idea of an evolving skin, she captures what it's like to play kayle when you evolve at 6, really makes it feel like you power up and can go blind ward that bush and int without fear

I feel like keeping the containment unit around is thematically interesting in the sense that she's turning that which was used to suppress her into tools of her own. She has floating chunks of metal to shiels herself, bash enemies with, etc, and she might be so powerful and cunning she turned what was used to contain her into something that even amplifies her power. That's my take!

Another fun thing about Psy Ops Sona is that her base skin’s hair is based on the digital singing program Vocaloid’s mascot, Hatsune Miku. She has the long, flowing pigtails that are set far apart, and though they are blue instead of green, I do remember reading that they were inspiration behind her design. Psy Ops Sona has her hair down, and unleashed I think she bears a STRIKING resemblance to Vocaloid mascot Megurine Luka. Not sure if that’s intentional or not, but I never saw it with the splash art - only now, seeing the in-game model!

I think sona keeping her restrainment shell after breaking it around her would also serve as her not being aware of her actual strength suggesting she knows vaguely how strong she is and keeps the shell as a way to monitor her power spikes and energy readings or whatchamacallit.

I love this skin in Theory. It looks great, sounds great and everything. But her gameplay is so unbefitting the Theme. Sona is all about doing little things a LOT, but PsyOps Sona feels awkward with that Gameplay. Shouldve been Syndras Skin

Problem is is that sona’s harp… thing is the perfect thing to turn into her restraints in the psyops skin. For syndra, they would have to make a bunch of new restraints which would screw up her silhouette

@@nickmcnally7808 Well, they can still shape her spheres in some way to make it work and swap when she maxes her spells instead of ult since that's how her passive works. So that's not much of a problem in the end. Like her "crown" could be some kind of mask or something related to the 3 balls orbititing around her and get broken when she maxes her q,w,e, revealing her face without ornement or something...

I'm 99% sure the PsyOps line was created purely for this amazing skin & it shows. I love this skin for much of the same "Redefine the character" line. I LOVE the concept of Sona (who is usually presented as a beautiful & peaceful musician) being this all powerful psychic with Elfen Lied vibes, breaking her chains & going loose. Really wish there was some narrative content with this Sona rather than just being a fancy new toy to play with.

Fun fact: I used to be a Sona main when I first played League (I think roughly a year after release?) And then I took a long break... After returning (around the time when they had introduced the whole lootbox system) I went into the game, played a few matches and got what I needed to unlock a few boxes. I am NOT sure if the game reads my mind... or if it set to do this. But it INSTANTLY gave me two skins for my main Sona (one of them being PsyOps) I mean I prefer DJ sona because of the music effect but... still. I find that really funny.

I can say why the whole "containment" is kept after she breaks free. It is only about the silhouette. In game champions need to have recognizable silhouette to allow players to distinguish them easily even if they have a skin. That's why Senna will always have her big gun, Viego big sword and Sona her "instrument"

It's a really neat concept. The bound Sona form is unsettling and, put correctly in the video, oppressive....it sort of reminds me of Sylas in a way. A shame that "this" version of Sona does not exist in the regular League of Legends universe; it'd make a sweet parallel for those two characters. Anyway, when you shift to unbound Sona, THEN things get spectacular...the dazzling colors really serve to emphasize that bit of lore that, yes, Sona is almost a demi-goddess of psychic power...and the screwball scientists thought it would be a good idea to imprison her!

The only thing i'm kinda disappointed about on this skin are the visual effects - especially the auras around her on her spells. I love taking skins moslty because of how they change not only the model but specifically how their tech and magic look like, but psyops sona isn't much interesting on this side of things, i prefer DJ or Pentakill here.

Totally forgot this skin, since I don't play Sona at all, I don't memorize her skins, nor does anyone elese ever play her. It's a tragic thing, since this does look cool. But, why I like DJ Sona is not because of the skin itself, but the mechanic of how it affects anyone else around her. I adore listening to her music by tabbing to putting it on whilst playing in the game. It doesn't just feel exclusive to her, but to us as teammates, as well.
