Pt. 1 Hyundai Genesis Coupe LSD Diff Swap //Just How Easy Is It?

In this video I go by all details of how easy it is swap a diff on a Genesis Coupe. My Genesis is a 2012 model which is being replaced with a 2014 model Genesis. All Genesis Coupe diffs are all interchangeable
Next video (Pt.2) will be testing as well as comparing new diff from old diff as well as other diff ratios
Form anyone wondering my stock diff is a 3.7 STD open diff & the new diff is a 3.5 LSD diff. This means the gear ratio is smaller so a higher top speed but a loss of acceleration. People swap on 3.9 LSD & 4.1 LSD which have better acceleration but loss of top speed as well as bad gas mileage since the vehicle will be higher in RPMs

The empty side it’s for an extra mount for the differential. You can buy the kit to have 4 mounts installed.

yes u are correct I just had a guilt trip cause usually there's some that have that empty side mounted from factory and I though mines had it

​​@@ultramagnet8917I'm going to have to correct this none of the Hyundai Genesis coupe had the fourth mount from the factory, some people did buy a factory Mount and then a drill out the plate at the back to fit it in there but that's an imperfect solution the welded in kit is the best.

I read online you don't need the limited slip additive because the genesis coupe lsds don't have a clutch pack

yeah I saw that too that's why I opted for the one inside the valvoline one since the additive is usually sold seperately from the fluid & in my area that was the only one I was able to find in that weight. others were either too thick or too thin

Currently have an open diff but have a lad ready to be installed I just don’t know where to get the seals
