Your husband is very wise! Yes I really agree on how the parents treat each other. My mom was a great home maker but she devalued my father any way she could, she always was unhappy and would ruin road trips, vacation, outings. I remember how that made my daddy feel and his face of disappointment and I treat my husband accordingly.

@@BecauseitMatters women are smart and sometimes, even when they do know better, will do this subconsciously. But what digusts me is where society is going. Somehow it's hip to degrade men

I totally agree with having your seperate areas of leadership. I feel like that's what naturally happened between my husband and I when I stopped working at 8 months pregnant. I naturally fell into leadership of our home and well-being, whereas he naturally fell into leadership of finance and infrastructure. It was natural for us, but to hear it from another couple is really interesting.

Its really not as much about the amount of income but how its managed and there is some income or skills that match. zif you want to stay home and live in a city in a nice owned home the amount needed is different than if you want to live on a farm and produce your own food or hand build your home. skills and wisdom also go a long way , much more than dollar amounts or career choice

I understand the thought but it can go wrong. Picking a husband based on treating his Mom well because he will treat his wife well can be problematic when he treats his Mom or whomever so well Hes a mammas boy and prioritizes her over his wife.
