I keep a kindle paperwhite (lighter weight than a paper Bible) I'll read on breaks while treking through the mountains and there's no greater sense of peace than reading (Bible or novel) listening to the sounds of nature. It also gives time for the local wildlife to get a little less skiddish of ya. Love your channel Mr. Carter, especially how you preach staying close to God. It's refreshing to see that close connection to the Lord on a hunting youtube channel.

God bless Brother! I need prayers for my great uncle he was diagnosed with appendix cancer. They already removed it, but he was not feeling too well today. Stay blessed and safe out there. I know it’s hot in south Georgia. It’s hot up here in Tennessee. Thanks for your videos. May help me a lot learning how to use this recurve.

You know when I first heard about the Thermocell ten years ago or so, I thought to myself; you got to be kidding. A little device that heats up some pad is gonna keep mosquitoes away? Snake oil for sure. Then I bought one. I own 3 now and use them all sometimes!!! They work!!! And here in Southern Ontario we have some real hungry bugs in our White Cedar Swamp. Good video Robert. Thanks.

That is a good list for the things that are needed to hunt in the swamp with. But the Bible is at the top of the list, I'm with you on that one brother.

Great list, RC. Three things I would add is an extra shooting glove/tab, tweezers for ticks or splinters, and some toilet paper.

Morning, Robert. Would you be able to show us how you set up your cooler for deer? I've heard some people say how they separate the meat from the ice with a layer of cardboard or sheet pans. A visual demonstration would be immensely helpful, thank you!
@robertcarte955 ай бұрын
@@bobby4116 I have ice in the cooler and simply put the deer parts in there stirring them around so they are covered. I don't keep the meat in the cooler long. Just to get it home. I process it that day or the next.

Really similar in Plains only I will wear some of the cheap old gen one camo in more a faded color and some cheaper camo fleece in more. I also have hunter orange as a forced color by South Dakota needing minimum a Hat as one item above waist but in areas besides a bow only I will wear a vest everywhere else in addition to a hat or winter hat because some gun hunters are dumb. Snake boots are not as needed here only some years, so I do not have any as usually when you find a deadly prairie snake in tall grass it is too late and going for higher then knee area.

I pig hunt in Northwest Florida, Swampy I do not wear rubber boots, I wear lace-up boots something like a jungle swamp boat Turtle skin knee-high chaps, that's so I can just cross the water and not worry about filling my boots up even in the winter time, and I wear nylon zip-off leg type pants they weigh about 8 oz dry, and a dry in about 30 minutes when you're walking I will not wear denim again unless it's winter time I'm going to the Mall, I wear nylon pants year round, with a snake leggings from Turtle skin

What poundage bow do you shoot, Robert? I like to get a hill style bow but not sure what poundage I need. I shoot a 45lb recurve now but wasn’t sure if a straight limb longbow would be the same
