It still kicks ass with 15 but 14 would be more fun like instant Nastyness!!! This motor feel real good and I still love his modded 32 but I still can't say witch one is better then the other because as of now I love them both and they both feel different from one another! It's Hard to explain?

Also I know your a TLR/Losi diehard but right now i'm a sponsored driver for Team C and I know I might sound biased but there 8th scales are top notch. Team C is a company made by a guy who won multiple Euro Championships I believe and he has traveled to many different places than he started producing cars, parts, and tools. Now they are expanding into the US. By November there is gonna be a fully stocked Warehouse in Michigan so its easier for team drivers and people who want to run Team C in the US and Canada. They make anywhere from 2wd buggies to 8th scale truggies. They are about to release some new cars, parts, etc..... I love Associated, but the other day I ran my Team C 2wd buggy and it drives better then a laydown Associated car imo. The 8th Scales are amazing. This last weekend we had a few drivers at the the 8th Scale Nats and they placed very well. But if you are interested at all. I don't remember to be honest because I had bought 2 motors from Neal (TNS) at once because I could not make my mind up between the 2 which are the Modded LRP.32 and the NOVA REX .28/8 . It has bin one Year now and I am very happy today that I bought the 2 because I really love the both of them!! Give him a call and ask him. I will be getting another one from him again but it will be with a DLC Coated Crank Shaft! If your new to the NITRO motors then I recommend you start out with a stock Nova .28 or one better then that like a stock Nova .28 / 8 Ports or even a stock LRP .30 X or a Stock LRP .32 but you will have to get rid of the oneway bearing pull/roto start crap and install the Sealed Back Plate from the .30X on it !

Gosh, I’m hoping someone here will know. What are the differences between the TEAM LOSI 8T RTR truggy vs the 4.0 minus the 100 dollar price tag? Descriptions don’t say a whole lot on hobby websites. Thanks guys.

Chris Brewer bro there’s a big difference! They are not the same 2 different RCs but a lot of the parts are interchangeable but not everything. 4.0 is a Professional Race Kit with better hardware and different set up that’s why it’s balanced differently. I have both platforms my 11 year old daughter runs the RTR . I run the race kit 4.0 but I have it set up for bashing not for racing. The race kit feels so different on land and in the air!! It’s almost impossible to mess up a big jump some how they always keep going! The RTR is really closer to the 3.0 but with not as good of hardware and shocks and towers and on and on but it’s the best RTR NITRO ever to come out of the box that I have seen so far . They come with a shit engine but it does very well in the beginning so newbies can learn from them but you can always throw a better engine!!! Race kits don’t come with any engine and electronics and that’s how I like it because I rather throw the engines that I like to use and to match them up to the pipes and headers that I know will work and the electronics that I like! I would rather get a kit with better hardware because that will count most in the long run ! Also you need to know that all 3 differentials that comes on the RTR are different then the ones that come on the race kit but you can get and use the race kit diffs on the RTR. The diffs definitely feel different especially for bashing! If you thicken the diff oils on both of them the race kit diffs will feel the difference unlike the RTR ones it will feel like water . And what that does and mean is your getting less power to the ground with an RTR ant with the 4.0 you can put more power to the ground by just doing that! 4.0 uses 4 spider gears and the RTR uses 2 in the diff cups!!! Hope that helps

Hey Bro, i got a bad motor with my RTR, I sent it in and they are replacing it. So I bought a Novarossi Roma, i got it installed and ready to go, but what tool do you use to adjust the fuel inlet nipple? A 7mm deep socket or a open end wrench, its brass so I don't want to mess it up. With the Roma what endbell should I run? 13t, 14t? Dynamite is no help over the phone, the guy I talked to wasn't familiar with the products at all. When I took the backplate and exhaust off I found a piece of plastic, I was careful when I removed the Pull start, I know it wasn't from anything I did, almost looked like a piece of a venturi, but its hard to say what it was. One more question do venturi work on any carburetor or does it have to be a Novarossi? I cannot find a 9mm, I can still one out but I wanted to avoid that

Wow the Roma is a great engine with nice RPMs ! I hope you break in that motor properly bro because it will be a great motor later on for you! I would start out with 12 or 13 tooth bell to keep RPMs up because that's where she shines. I think a 9mm maybe to big for your Bad ass stock .25 so I would use a 7mm or 8mm? Soon you will see me go over my daughters RTR Truggy like yours! Also please dump all the Diff oils out bro it's like water thin as hell from factory! After I tuned my friends it was a joke with pizza cutters and that was with the week ass stock 28 so if you run your Bad ass .25 Roma it will be worse and so much power lost not getting to the ground!! Please do 100,000 wt Diff oil on the center Diff and 50,000 wt Diff oil on the front and rear Diff!!!

BOTAJELL I got the Novarossi Clutch installed for some reason when I put the TLR clutch on there was a big gap from the crankshaft to the end of the clutch bell, I had it on there plenty tight, I don't know if I needed to use the screw that came on the crankshaft or what the issue was but the Novarossi Clutch fit way better. the only see I can see with the Novarossi Clutch is the flywheel isn't centered in the channel for the starter, it's in the channel but pretty close to the back of it. I am going to check if the starter wheel will be able to contact it Monday when I get home. I got the TLR Shocks built and ready to install, the Chassis is coming, when I put the TLR Chassis on I will change out the diff fluids. do you use Losi oil? I will try and get some pics or video showing the TLR flywheel on the Roma, maybe I am doing something wrong, I didn't change the flange that came on the Novarossi Crankshaft that the flywheel seats on maybe I need to swap it out for a Losi one. if the Novarossi Clutch won't hit the starter wheel I will try swapping that flange with the brass one from Losi. I am not 100% sure how to remove it but I will try and find some info on how to do it

I end up finding my backplate, thank God. Gonna switch over from the pull start, to the LRP backplate. But I have small issue, I took the carburettor off to switch it to the other side, where I have it facing the other way, cos it was install on my savage.But now the screw to-HOLD it in. Not tightening down. It's lose. So the carburettor not secure. Cos the screw is lose. Do u know how I can solve this issue.?

No I don't but I may have it at home? Just call the guy that works there and tell him you want some O-rings for your 9mm carburetor Carburetor. Tell him it's the carb that comes with the 28/8. If you don't have that carb ? Then I think the 7mm carb O-ring may work as well ?? Or just match up your Nova carb to your stock LRP XTEK Carb and mark the bottom then shave it off or sand it off to match the same hight as the Xtec carb. If you don't shave you will need 2 O rings

Gav G do you have a 2 needle carburetor? If yes ? Then get a new carburetor or rebuild yours and use 3in1 oil in it to coat the O rings and slide barrel so everything moves well. Then set all your needles to flush! Make sure your idle gap is at .05 mm!!! Then lean your low needle until your engine can stay running at a idle. Make sure you preheat your engine first to 200* with a heat gun before you adjust any needles. I hope you don't have the s4 engine with a pull or roto start because they suck! If you do don't waste money on that motor just get a newer better motor like a Mito7 or a 4 or a Elite 8 or a cheap Paloma motor with Orange 🍊 head because there all better then s4 ! Then you can run a bump box to start your motor because you will have sealed engines!! Less headaches much user friendly and way better performance

If it was mine I would do 2 gold and 2 green springs and 4 max life clutch shoes! Also use new clutch bearings please look at how I did and shims I used on my Novarossi 28/8 . Also make sure you have an Aluminum Flywheel and Not a steel one!

nafis ahmed the man that Modified these engines is called Neal and the company was called TNS . From what I hear he is no longer Modifying Nitros and that he wanted to sell off all his things like tools and engine Dyno and I also herd that he was taking a break from this for a little while. So the other person that I use and trust and does great things Modding Nitros is called RB MODS and his name is Rick . www.rbmods.net/legend-28-8-truggy.html soon I will be trying out his Modified LRP 32, Picco Boost 28, and the new Novarossi 28-8 Plus and he may also do another Novarossi Rex 28-8 for me.
