Good job 👍🏼.It appears that they were going to supersede here anyway;judging by the amount of Queen cups .I personally would have introduced that new Queen to a split and left the rest to supersede once she lays in one of those cups

Hi Richard, thank you. My first thought was as you have said but, she was a falling queen so no good. Also you have to take into account the lack of nurse / new bees being produced, so nothing will be left in a Nuc if made. The queen cups were all empty no sign of eggs at all after a 7-10 day inspection. Thanks for comment 😊🐝

Hi Jim, this can be mistaken for drone laying workers but no it was the Queen that was failing. Plus you can see worker bee cells not drone, the hive also did not have good husbandry and was weak with chalk brood 🐝

Yes thought as much 😆. It’s not so much being afraid, yes I get stung even with bee clothing on but why risk even more! Right. Plus all depends on what bees you have and your climate. Good for you though. 🐝
