Thank you David. Thats like 1 side a frame every 24 hrs. We have never had that many that often which tells me the nuks we are getting are coming with poor queens.

Thank you David Burns, I started into beekeeping just last month. I started with a 5 frame Nuc and transferred to a Deep adding 4 new frames. I was hoping that the Nuc bees would draw the new frames but seems I had to wait for new broad to emerge before there was enough population to start to draw those new frames and did a checker board style to force the bees to draw new comb. I did see the Queen slowed down on laying waiting for hatched broad cells to be cleaned and yes her pattern is now from outside in I am hoping with new comb the Queen will start laying faster. The other bees have been working pollin, nectar and getting a good storage so I do hope to add a 2nd deep in 3 or 4 weeks as 1 more broad cycle will out grow the first deep and will put on the second and try to populate for a winter

Perfect timing! I did an inspection over the weekend and found very spotty brood, but also very little pollen. We had 2 solid weeks of cold rain, so I was hoping the weather was to blame rather than the queen. Thanks for confirming it is a possibility! I'll get the protein sorted out before doing anything with the queen

I think this drought for us this year in Illinois and Iowa is going to be hard on our pollinators. I respect you so much for admitting you're learning something new.

Thank you David this video I think it is extremely important information for those of us that are new beekeepers. The bees we got from you in April are exploding and very very gentle they don't care that I'm in there for little over 30 minutes! Thanks again David and Sheri for what you both do for all of us!!!

A month ago I drove 3 hours away to get my queen and hive. Extremely good genetics are worth the drive! Now hopefully I don't mess things up with her!

Hey David thank you and Sheri for all of your knowledge and time to educate us, I really appreciate it. Your series on queen raising over the last few months has taught me a lot. Would it be to much to ask a queen playlist on your channel page? I think it will help me quick reference back to one of your videos or to help group them all together for future viewers. That would be awesome. Keep up the great work.

The first hive I had the bees were ripping the caps off the pupae and eating those for protine. It wasn't until I started to inspect the dead-out that I understood why this was the case.

David Thank you. I have been struggling with this RIGHT NOW. I have a queen who is not laying very well and I can't figure out what is going on. As always thank you for sharing your expertise and advice.

Right now in my hive of bees I see exactly the brood pattern every beekeeper wants to see. What I don’t see is the amount of pollen or bee-bread I’d like to see. I got one full frame in the deep full of capped over honey and they are working on the deep. Plenty of nectar. I stopped feeding them 2 weeks ago. Im debating if I should feed them.

I have a hive where the bees about 3 pounds have been staying there for 4 days in the rear bottom of hive……did I lose a queen during swarm???? Why would the bees do that???

You probably won't read this but if one of my hives is queenless (hive 3) and another hive (hive 2) has charged queen cup and I see the current queen. Can i put the frame from hive 2 into hive 3 to finish raising the queen so they can get queen right?

I doubt it. Queen mandibular pheromones May alter how those cups are viewed

It’s too late if you are new to beekeeping. If you are very experienced with draw come you’d have a better chance if you were prepared to feed them and manage them properly.
