I'm not sure if this actually has to do with enlightenment. I think of it as being more about being open-minded and entertaining out of the box ideas which is good... but not enlightenment. one must go within to find the light. as human beings we have complex moral compasses. if we exploit one another we destroy this light. no human goes through this life without experiencing or being conditioned under this exploitation that circulates our existence. the same reason we are able to discuss the topic of enlightenment is the very reason this exploitation exists. At some point we all learned how to hate other people or hate ourselves. thus destroying the light within. we go through feeling as though something is missing so we start to seek. we we all want to feel whole and connected to all that is. Free of the shakels that hold us as prisoners to our minds. negative beliefs and behaviors that were taught to us at some point in life are now holding us back from pursueing our dreams, connecting to people. these shakels makes us feel that we are less than or more than human, unworthy, unloved, confused, unconfident, untrustworthy, unable to trust others. once we discover our negative beliefs and behaviors we can become lighter. but it doesn't happen overnight. we also need certain individual life experiences to open our eyes so that we can see how some of our behaviors drain this light and don't reflect our self-worth. We are already the light but must shed the layers of insecurities to feel this light. thus becoming enlightened. It is complete self-love and acceptance. many people search to learn what enlightenment is but really need to spend more time learning about themselves. that is how enlightenment happens.

Don't eat or drink anything for half a day after waking & notice the high/amazing feeling you have from giving the temple a break/rest from things coming in the mouth while you are more intune to things going on around & inside you! Make sure you've eatin low fat plant foods & water before the meal the night before! once you awaken close your eyes flex the muscles, stretch them, after a light full body exercise You will feel amazing! Great method for studying aswell, this has been practiced in many cultures aswell biblical, mostly known as absolute fasting.

I would love to see you do that fasting and then wake up at 6 am to go do any labor other than office work. It's great if you study or just sit all day by a computer, but there is no way you would have the energy and concentration for manual labor if you didn't eat proper breakfast. I have tried fasting, but it just won't work if you have a physically exhausting job like logging or construction. There is just the constant nausea and tiredness even before the day has begun, whenever I've tried fasting. Also, I would love to see you apply this eating habit to kids. I don't know about yours, but mine are like an angry swarm of wasps if they miss their morning-porridge. Young children and forced hunger don't really mix well. This is important because you have to show an example to kids with your eating-habits. You can't preach one thing and do another, but instead be consistent. Anything + butter = great taste. Whole-wheat bread and a fat stack of butter is all you really need, the rest is just gravy. All this low-fat nonesense is driving me nuts. I don't know anyone who actually enjoys the horrible taste if those nasty oils (like flax-seed and such) on veggies, but I know a lot of people who whole-heartedly enjoy the taste of real butter on any warm vegetable. I am also yet to meet a child who won't eat his vegetables, as long as you steam or fry them and put some butter on them. That is the proper food their young bodies need and they will tell you that you made the right choice, by asking you for a second serving.

Enlightenment is understanding and being able to live what you truly are. So it isn't an oxymoron. When people say, "you are already enlightened," they are just saying, you are already who you truly are, but looking away from it and pretending you are the body and mind. But to not know that you are more than that means you aren't enlightened, so it isn't an oxymoron. But the thing is, it's very easy to make this realization with the proper teaching/method. Point is, if you believe you are the body/mind you aren't "enlightened." Enlightened people feel kind of cheesy throwing the word "enlightened" around because it's so simple to be it yet people make it seem so hard. You just have to go through with the process of seeing things in a new perspective until you see things the way they truly are. Enlightened is a word like anything else, seeing things the way they truly are has no words/thoughts. So there is no desire in an enlightened state to go around saying, "I am enlightened." Another reason they don't do it. That, and there really is no reason to go around saying, "I am enlightened" other than to sound cocky as if anybody else really cares. It's not something you can prove. It does have it's benefits though, like being able to be joyful all the time no matter where you are or what you are doing. That's an extremely powerful thing as everybody is ultimately seeking happiness(even if they don't realize it.) But they seek it in the world through material things and that's why they never find it. Instead of going within and getting a strong connection to nature, they indulge in material pleasures which only give you a short never lasting sense of satisfaction that pales in comparison to what your own beingness can give you.

sometimes 1008 I kind of see what you are trying to say but it doesn't follow. Light requires dark only to you the observer. Sound only requires to your ear and minimal noise being preferred. If we lived on a planet with constant deafening explosions, we wouldn't have hearing at all. Just like we don't see many forms of light or hear many sound ranges. What you require of sound and light is the ability to hear and see it. I can turn a flashlight on on the sun and that light exists, despite my ability to see it because of the blinding suns light. It seems your idea revolves around you as the center of the universe. Light doesn't care if you see it. Sound doesn't care if you hear it. Everything exists whether you perceive it or not. Light and sound go wherever they will, whether our senses can follow or not.

Ok, its quite late (Im from Denmark), so forgive me, if i don't express myself clearly enough. But i would like to try and explain it. :) First some rhetorical questions: To be enlightened or not? And by which or who's standard of definition/perspective and/or according to which principle used? Is the mainstream's definition, the most correct definition? In contrast or context to this video, i would put the meaning and definition of words such as: "Enlightened" or "Intellectual" into a secondary position and with a lesser meaning, and focus more on, how we/some perceive and cope with reality in a different way, which can vary a lot. But something that i can relate to, and resonate with though, is that, if you take the title of this video and listens to the beginning of this video, and puts it in relief, with what i will explain next, i think you can better follow my meaning. In some ways/aspects, i can see this as a "true" statement, a correct observation, along with the following qoutation.: "And by being enlightened, you will always going to be, slightly odd, slightly different a bit of a weirdo, because you are not prepared to fit into the norm. You become what i call, a fringe-dweller, because tick-tock drives you crazy." And then he basically finishes off pointing out that these circumstances drives you nuts. Some "intellectual" and "enlightened" beings may fit well enough into the society's norms (Mainstream-norms, determined by the majority of likeminded people), and social ways. But for some its like a nightmare, like being on a wrong planet. (Hence the delusional thinking of schizophrenia's, believing themselves to actually being alien to their own planet. Well at least that my speculation to, why some schizophrenics can have these delusional thoughts, which i will explain further.) An ordinary daily job working 9 to 17, and the whole thing with the way's of society, its norms etc., can for some be excruciating difficult to manage/maintain for longer periods at a time. One mans heaven, may be another mans hell. Try and see it in this perspective.: Depending on how well the established society works or functions, with its norms and social rules etc. It may be (and is) good for some, but can be bad for others, and have a detrimental effect leading to mental illnesses, depending on different/certain factors. For example, depending on ones upgrowth and what kind of baggage/ballast, and how well you fit/adjust to schools structure, and later in life, the established societies ways/rules/norms, some may already from an early state, start building up a feeling of not quite fitting in, and when they sometimes try to express/explain themselves about it, they are many times, seldom understood properly, leading to more alienation for their part. This can for some, evolve into a feeling of, feeling different and of not belonging. For some of these people's, they may try to cope with the challenges of "ordinary life", and may turn out successfully despite the difficult beginning. But for others, the pressure gets to big to handle and cope with, so they may develop psychological / mental illnesses, a kind of hypersensitivity towards "mainstream life" / the established society, illnesses like.: Social phobias, schizophrenia, Autism spectrum disorders. etc. You could say that these "illnesses", are a sane reaction to an insane situation. Well, at least this is how i perceive it. So, if you take these points/perspectives/circumstances into account, then the words and title of the video makes perfect sense. Wouldn't you agree? In my opinion, one who is truly enlightened, is one, who is able to perceive and understand reality on several levels. Seeing things from "all" perspectives, and not just the mainstreams perception.

PEGGLORE I hear you. Is what you feel similar to something like being aware of tiny movements of particles that extends to a bigger things in the universe? Aware of your body as an intricate system rather than actual "you"? Does the dark sky, the stars in it, the wind, etc make you loose your breath and you can't really explain why? Did the life of consumption/consumerism loose its sense to you? Cause this is something that I feel.

Im a very complex and rather cynical person, I am unable to have any enjoyment cuz of my over-analyzation and awareness of things that normal ppl would never think about. to be happy you have to be selfish and basically ignorant to things yet happiness is attractive to other ppl which creates relationships and keeps the human race going for example, this is a farce and a contradiction. i see the world as white and black, and that my life experiences are therefore pointless i feel we are all the same, the only difference being in the way we look and sound which are basically tricks to make life seem like it has variety and meaning. I mean all other species of wildlife look and sound the same as themselves, we are meant to be the most intelligent species yet we give into these tricks. we all know whats beautiful, we all know what's ugly, and we all know what an apple tastes like, life would be great if i wasnt aware of this sameness, i would think i was special, but then that is selfish end elitist and unworthy of life but you have to feel special to be happy and confident in life so i feel the world is just full of people thinking they are special and it is that which keeps them going and have ego's. i feel like i have been manufactured through this life code and that i am led to think and feel the same way when put in the same situations as people, so i am unable to enjoy myself for all these reasons, lets take reading a book for eg: why would i want to read a book when everyone else will be reading the same thing and i will just be enriching myself in this coded life illusion, i will be getting no real personal fulfillment, i will still be stuck within the confounds of this 'life code' so seems very pointless to me, so reading a book which is a pleasure that most would get out of life gets quashed for me. all of this realisation makes me a 'super being' perhaps and what i thought may be 'enlightenment'. but It's not fun, i end up hating and and cringing at everything and it's very draining, so yeah i feel life is different for me, it has a deeper purpose where i thrive for connections and nuance which is why i say i notice things that others don't. i'm a talented guy and my thought processes are unique but it means i will not succeed in life, it is frustrating, like i have a unique talent at video games, i am the actual best player in the world at several of them if you see some of my videos, what allows me to do the stuff i do is very complex processes, i literally detach myself from reality and i achieve what i do. this is probably one of the most special talents a human can possess but it will get me nowhere in life. stuff is especially bad now tho cuz i have got myself in the most messed up situation through my overanalyzation etc i am a victim of maybe the most impossible and unfair occurrence known to man and finding it very hard to get my head around it, it may prove God or certainly prove life as being the sheer balance of positive and negative energy, but yea it's too messed up and complicated what happened and wouldn't have happened if i wasn't me. it really is a remarkable event and i'm forced to write a book about it, it involves my numbers coming up in the lottery and not putting them through these stupid series of events, and you wanna know the reason why i started playing in the 1st place, the way it was orchestrated really was something else and i am aware of all of it, i am a victim of sheer yin and yang or karma. i think i may be the re-incarnation of Hitler by what happened to me; like i was designed to get the least fulfilment out of life through my over analysis and then God whips out this situation to totally fuck me and feel like an idiot and be left to analyse for the rest of my life, the ultimate punishment. if nothing good can come of this situation then i really don't know if i can handle living with it but this would be such a waste.

They forget to mention the ups & down on an individual's spiritual path & the side-effects of a spiritual awakening. You don't just wake up one morning & all of a sudden everything is incredible forever. There will be many awakenings, which is when you are most in touch with your super-consious mind, and get inspired & feel more at peace & uplifted, however those awakenings only last several days. I am sure with persistent training of all levels of your mind, you can prolong those periods, but you simply couldn't function & exist in this world / dimension only using your superconsious mind.

The feeling of immediate experience is guided by reconstructing the mind down to your core beliefs which makes your mind more efficient gaining the singularities of your personal motives of the specifics of what it takes to reach your vision, (the most linear path) broken down day by day from backwards planning from your vision into a path you created through your possibilities, understanding your past is a "map" for your future(changing habbits) so you can let it go and use it as a jumping-off point in the NOW, and just shift the map for your future as a lifestyle more then a thought and forget this process of creating the map understanding you have the lifestyle now..RELAX in the now knowing if I would have kept doing what you was doing, U ALREADY know that future!, therefore, let it go and now be excited for your future possibilities and working on becoming it now.. a patience within hard work and compounding that hard work..which creates a drive for constant change...all while you make sure you RELAX and understand you know what to do and you are happy to make the decision to change and so you can slowly shift into a new world you never thought could exist, and to never to forget to relax in the comfort of being alive within new possibilities

Enlightenment has been watered down to mean nothing more than a shift in perspetive where the observational aspect of the mind becomes focused (or defucused depending on the context) instead of the focus being on the content of the mind. If you talk to these people in depth, you will always see that the illusion is still there. The conflict, the image, the duality, the division is still there and can make or break them. Sure their lives have become easier to manage by not identifying with thought so much, but other than that three is no real transofrmation. All the illusions are still there for them. Just because they can observe the illusion doesn't mean naything because that illusion can still bring them to their knees.

Think of it like someone trying to explain an acid trip. You will be left standing there asking yourself "wtf". Enlightenment is change incarnate. As well as an awareness of change (in all things). A sort of sensitivity that can't be faked or truly understood outright. Understanding comes later in life. Until understanding is unanimous, there will always be those that are afraid. People don't like to admit this, as it seems a form of weakness (though fear is often the greatest strength to some) and so, they try to hide it under layers of anger and disgust.

There are no answers in books either, they merely serve as a tool. A tool is useless if you don't learn how to use it. People can try to teach others how to use tools, but ultimately the individual has to learn to wield the tools. Being able to repeat a process is not the same as understanding the potential of a tool.
