PT11 $500 Fiero GT. Took Fiero to get Microvans replacement, Momma's 2017 Jeep Renegade

Sold the Daihatsu Atrai XX Turbo so we could get a car to keep at our Florida location, a 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude 4X4 with 72,000 miles. I do a quick walkthrough with inside measurements and length comparing to her 2017 Jeep Cherokee.
I think these Jeep Renegades are cute as hell, just like Gizmo.

I do like the color on the Renegade but those shades blend in really well with fog, rain and such. It's good that it has automatic headlights.

Be careful when you change the oil not to over tighten on the filter housing. The filter housings on these are very delicate and easy to crack and cause a massive oil leak.

Good color choice! Love it. And the 4x4 will do well if yall ever need it! The 2.4 instead of the 1.3, plus no cvt, i think itll last ya awhile! And all this coming from a feller that doesnt like jeep/dodge/Chrysler/fiat.

Ive got the jeep phoenix (fiat panda 4x4TD) fiat are great as long as you don't live on the beach but I'm sure the metal is better these days, my rear subframe dissolved in 8 years with 37k on the clock , think it was made of pasta.

Haha, yeah I know what the Fiat handle looks like. Believe it or not all of these new cars rear subframes are made out of like stamped 10. My buddy Brian is a mechanic and he's changed so many Subarus and all different brand vehicles

Agreed, most the ones I looked at had over 100,000 for this price. I would have rather bought one in Florida but most of them are two-wheel drive and higher priced and up here. This is completely rust free underneath too

I just worked on one that was 300,000 MI and he said the only real problem he ever had was the cracked coolant reservoir hose I was replacing. Although I'm not a fan of the fiat 2.4 they seem to just keep going

That's good to know, when I was looking to purchase one, I saw many up near the 200,000 mile mark and some over. maintenance is key hopefully

@@MotoCheez probably the biggest problem is it's a European car in America. The maintenance and fluids are a little different and I think it's when people don't respect that, is where they go wrong. I've seen several go over 200,000 mi and they just keep talking about keeping up on maintenance

None of the manufacturers today have a dipstick for the automatic transmission order CVT. It's horrible

Huh? I see cars down here from the '80s that don't have any rust at all on them rocker panels underneath just faded paint and interiors. I'm not driving it on the beach. The spray on salt that they use up here in the Northeast is what eats the cars up. I've witnessed it my whole life

I cannot condone your purchase of a fiat renegade. I’ve worked on them so much I now refuse and turn them away from my shop. I’m sorry you’ve made this mistake. I hope you got the one in a million that isn’t 110% garbage. It’s a joke they print “since 1941” above the radio when they bought the company in the past 20 years and it has zero to do with Jeep. Ugh. I have to stop watching. I’ve had so many of these nightmares in my shop I can’t even stomach looking at them.

What major issues did you found though? Because I spoke with many mechanics and did a lot of research online and they seem to be about average reliability with all the cars out there and non CVT.
