I will take my M1 just because of the sights. Both are great rifles, both are over powered, but the M1 sights, and the 03A3, sights are just better. I’m and ex US GI. My M16A1 , and the M14 had the same style of sights for a reason. Any guy in basic that followed instructions or was a country kid that deer hunted, got there marksmanship badges at one level or another.

I’m curious if you prefer the M16A1 sights or the A2?

Both are good M1 garand is a semi automatic rifle and you can load a clip after the ping but be careful to not get garand thumb. Lee enfield has a magazine that can hold 10 rounds and the soldiers can perform the “mad minute” fire between 20-30 rounds in 1 minute.

Better. I agree the ammo load on the commercial 303 is lacking. Hand loading gives far better performance.

I have a 1950 longbranch. The gun is better than my eyes so in reality 200m is my limit with iron sights

The no4 looks so clean it must be an Irish contract gun? That’s my guess, I just bought an Irish contract gun last year, it’s never been fired (I can promise you 100% it never has been) and it’s ALL numbers matching, I will never fire it!!!!!! Unless WW3 starts, and I will use my sierra match kings!

We used to be able to buy a decent No. 4 for around $50 Canadian from many surplus stores in the early 70s.🇨🇦

Man, Ignore the hate from the previous video. Half of the guys can’t even think about shooting a milsurp out to 600m. When I shoot out to 600 with a Swede, k31 or an Enfield it’s not easy. So the guys on the previous post being negative have probably never shot past 200m. Your channel is awesome keep it up man!

@@Historydownrange yeah man, I’m in a bunch of groups on fb. I posted a video a while back of me shooting My no4 Mk1 out to 400m. A guy tried to tell me that I shouldn’t use the sandbag rest and that instead I should use the sling for more support lol. So yeah, don’t listen to their criticism…. I did not see that, I’ll have to run by their sometime soon. They’ve been closed for a while now.
