Glass Eyes my favourite on this album ,it feels like being on a train with the moving strings from left to right.

My favourite too! One of Radiohead’s most beautiful songs (and that’s saying a lot since they have a ton of them).

Jonny is all over this album with his string arrangements. Some of his best work.

My favorite part. I hope it features a lot in their next album too.

Nice review. Be interested in your thoughts on the live version of The Numbers on KZbin with just Thom and Johnny and a drum machine. I tend to agree with the masses that it blows the album version away. Seriously good. Great content as always. PS it's bloody cold in southern Australia

Their most “rock out songs” are: - The entire album The Bends - There, There - Bodysnatchers - Electioneering - Airbag - Bangers & Mash - Optimistic (sort of) - Creep - Morning Mr. Magpie - Little By Little - I Might Be Wrong (you didn’t like this one on first listen) - Pearly

to me this album sounds like the inverse of In Rainbows, which was full of color and life. Moon shaped pool sounds like the bleak underside.

I mean, Videotape is pretty damn bleak lol. I think it starts very optimistically, then gradually get's bleaker. But yeah, AMSP is extremely bleak, though I think musically it's quite colourful.

Ful Stop sounds much better live, it becomes even faster, edgier and very cathartic. Same goes for Identikit.

I'm was so bummed by how they recorded Identikit. It seems like in recent years Nigel is afraid of recording the sound of a band playing together - so many of their best tracks get overproduced to the point of it sounding synthetic.
Their most rockin songs are on The Bends. It is such a strong rock album.

Surprised you didn't comment on Jonny Greenwood's guitar solo at the end of Identikit.

Most rockin’ straightforward songs… hmm, maybe Electioneering of Ok Computer, Optimistic from Kid A, There There and 2+2=5 from HTTT. The Bends also has a bunch of rockers.

There is a massive difference between artistic and prog. Prog most often involves self indulgence and Radiohead are about as far from that as you can be.

definitely room for debate on that topic! But yes, self indulgence in prog happens
