If the mixed pitches were 8.12 and 10..12 would the cross hairs intersect at 8 and 10 inches.also is there a conclusion to this video.

56 + 33 doesn't = 90°

You're absolutely correct I am off a whole 2 degrees. I am simply giving a approximation but if you look at the angles on the paper you will see that it is precise(3:18) (32.87°+57.12°)=89.99°. notice that I am off 1° simply because I didn't go three decimal places. Remember this math is being applied to rough carpentry. For the other sticklers out there (33.69006753°+56.30993247°=90°) hope this helps.
