I just bought a few of these boards and I love what you chose to do, a sort of cinematic/sound design instrument. Inspiring! I like that you used the jack so it can be the unique instrument or an effect unit still. ✌️

A video on the wiring would be extremely helpful im trying to follow yours as a guide of sorts but I’m not adding the LFO from your other video and this one is FAST. Hi and thank you for your Video. I am too building a little Audio-device, combining two of these Boards for some Stereo-Delay. I Already knew about the points where you can connect Pots for controlling Mix and Delay-Length, but the Feedback-one was new to me. I instantly tried it out, but I can't achieve any effect when putting a 100k Pot between C17 and the center pin of the mix... I tried to slow down and magnify your Video, to get a clear look at you soldering points and see if I got something wrong... , but that didn't work... :/ I also don't really find any sources on this particular Module, only a bunch of info on the PT2399 Chip itself.

Devox Mc Allister-Loxley van Hurten I’m so sorry but it looks like I was mistaken when I said C17 in the video. The correct spot is actually the capacitor near R21. Hope that helps.

@@SISKworks Thanks for the quick answer! :) I also did some poking around and found the best position is before the Resistor R21, which is basically the same position as the capacitor you just mentioned. I couldn't get the feedback mod to work. I did the C17 to left pin and centre pin to centre pin.Could it possibly be because I used an A50K pot instead of a 100? I love what you've done though. Very effective!

Very good, do you have any scheme for feedback and time on that red plate? Would it be possible to pass the signal also through the springs? nice work !!!
@SISKworks6 жыл бұрын
Bacterio Electronics Sorry, no schematic. But the red knob is a A100K pot and it connects between the center pin of mix knob and C17. The blue is delay length and it connects to the S and G points on the board but in order for this to work you must also remove R27. Hopefully this all makes sense. As far as sending a signal through the spring it is possible but just now with this device since there is nothing to make the spring move/vibrate with the input signal. Check out one of my previous videos called “HELL-O-phone.” In that video I have a spring inside an old phone that I can send a signal through.

Sure. It’s really simple. The negative from battery is connected straight to the board. Then the positive from battery connects to the switch and then the switch connected to board. Switch is just breaking the connection between power and circuit.

any resources/equipment you can recommend for someone with no electronics background who's just getting into trying to circuit bend/build instruments?
@SISKworks6 жыл бұрын
Sure. I would say first get a good soldering iron. I like Weller WES51 if you can afford it but there are other cheaper models that will also work fine. You will also need a basic multi meter, wire stripers, and solder. Then I would say buy a kit a cheap kit like the Velleman Voice Changer or a bit more like the Synthrotek PT2399 Delay and just get comfortable soldering and putting the kit together. Both of those kits are fairly easy and can be used in circuit bent devices. I've used both in other videos of mine BTW.
