PTB - Structural Bioinformatics 1

Here I give a quick introduction to protein structures and structural bioinformatics. Why are proteins important and what is structural bioinformatics used for. Example applications include: structural comparisons, predicting binding pockets, predicting the impact of mutations and predicting folding itself. In class we will explore the PDB database and start with an introduction to using R for structural bioinformatics with the bio3d library.
